possible software prob, need input

ok so...here goes, im tapping the think tank here as well since niether myself or my trusted tuner have been able to sort this out, and electromotive hasn't gotten back with me yet..

car 85 rx7
tec3r(wired totally separate from stock wiring, all relayed etc.) wintec3.4.1
aeromotive a1000pump
(4) RC1000cc injectors
(2)GSLSE injectors(primary)

here goes....drivablilty tuning has went pretty good so far minus a few hiccups and starting to tune transition and low boost levels bringing in staging etc apart from drowing the motor several times and other typical nonsense with tuning a rotary nothing special..until....this..

now with all other systems working well and normal when the car reaches 140-150kpa the fuel pump shuts off...usually the tach goes wonky also, BUT the tech unit is still operable and recording datalogging, when it does this, you have to let the engine return to ZERO rpm, the idiot lights come on to let ya know that its stopped and then you can clutch it and it will pick up rotational signal and start the fuel pump again and run off normally, untill you do it again....when it shuts off it will not restart the fuel pump untill engine rpm reaches zero, this is very odd, the fuel cut was off, though i even tried turning in on and setting it at its highest point to no effect, ignition however seems to be still firing since the last time i did it it backfired shortly after going quiet and the datalogging is still recording rpm so the crank sensor is still working and taking signal.

seems to be no relation to RPM and KPA, it will cut off at any rpm when it reaches that pressure range, and its not always the same kpa, have seen several different pressure numbers where it shut off, and im afraid to do this too many more times for fear of hurting the engine

umm some FYI during this time in the datalogging
voltage stable
AFR pretty smooth..considering, keeping it around 10-10.5 at those ranges
injector duty is well under 100% on primary and just starting on sec
havent even pulled the motor to 7k yet since i have my shift light set there for the time being.
the power to the fuel pump and relay are directly from the battery in the back of the car, grounded to the battery as well and tech unit ground(green wire) firing the relay

dont think im leaving much out..thats pretty much how its happening and its driving me nuts trying to figure out why :wallbash:

any ideas? similar happening? some asprin perhaps?

Pm'd you.

shutting off

ck your plug wires needs at least 3000-5000 omhs per foot , race wires will not work with electromotive ,use plain accel wires (cheapies) unit will shut down at boost and reset itself when you return to low rpms (had this problem also) Call Uve at electromotive .Ray at Peter Farrel Race cars found this and corrected mine .Ray was highly recommended by electromotive and the 3.5 hr trip to his shop was well worth it .

right now am using a set of taylor spiro pro recomended by fred and uwe at EMI, before that it had a set of MSD streetfire, both as exactly the same we pretty sure its not in the wires.....so far...

when i borrowed a tec3 unit while my tec3r was in the shop it ran perfect, it has something to do with the configuration of the tec3r and what im asking it to do...which is work normally... evidently its not happy with that...the saga continues :D

goes to dyno in a few days we see if we can root out the problem there in a safer environment than street tuning.
