You might be one of the only FDs running it. I had a Tec3r but sold it for the more user friendly PFC.. and sometimes regret it as the Tech3 is the better EMS imho. I know there are some 1st and 2nd gen guys and also a couple 3 rotor guys here on the forum running Electromotive, mostly Tech2 but I think a few have gone to Tech 3 or Tech3r. Do you tune yourself or do you have someone tune for you?

no I have always been a microtech user this the first time I have used a TEC3. I heard ErnieT runs them. Just want to know basics and have some questions

Hi Alex,

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been running an Electromotive TEC3 for a few years and still do. Ernie used to run a TEC3 but has since swapped over to an AEM.

I handle my own tuning so feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Thanks,

Anthony

I been reading the book and cant find anything on it.

Hey Alex,

I assume you mean when you shift at a high rpm in 1st and 2nd the rpms may stay up there or come back down slowly (not as fast as it should). If that is the case it sounds more like a throttle body issue. Are you sure the dashpot is going back in all the way? I would make sure none of your linkages are sticking. To eliminate the dashpot just loosen it up and back it out so it does not interfere with the throttle linkage. That sounds more of a mechanical issue than an ECU issue.

Who tunes the car now?

Thanks,

Anthony

Well no one because I always dealt with Microtech I bought my FD with the tec3 , But Jesus Padilla tunes all my cars. I am going to fly him over this summer to tune it but for now I am just trying to learn it. Its seem so complicated.

I am actually thinking of getting rid of it to go with microtech again. I think this type of standalone would be better for someone who tracks their car alot. I daily my FD and when I had my FC the same and I was happy with the LT10x

I am going to look at the throttle issue tomorrow. It sometime does it and sometimes it doesnt.

So how do you like the electromitve system? I am also running their ignition systems.
Know anyone will trade fot a Lt10x x4 IGN system LOL.
