what size turbo good for drifting

Hi guys i want to know what size turbo is best for drifting, i have a 13b fc extend port and i want to know what size a/r is best for drifting.

i am tossing up between these turbos listed below, but not sure what size a/r is best for drifting.

i dont care about the quality of the turbos or if they are shit just want to know about the size and what a/r is best
cheers

you do know you need thousands of dollars worth of stuff to use these turbos right?

you can drift just fine on the damn stock turbo or a hybrid like knightsports or BNR stage 2. You don't need that much than like 250rwhp, which is what I did on stock turbo (and I could easily break the tires loose in any kind of drifting maneuver) .

Most of the turbos you listed are knockoffs of turbos that are probably not responsive enough for what you are doing. They are only good for highway street racing really.

OK what size turbo a/r's should you run for drifting as if you have too big and its laggy then it wont be good for drifting correct??
so what is a good size turbo .7front and 1.05 rear??

I DONT CARE ABOUT THE TURBOS I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT SIZE.
I all ready have a hiflow but it runs out of legs with a extend port

slightly smaller is better for drifting. it will make it easier if you can start boosing at like 2000 2500 rpm's this way if you are coming in a little lower you can still spool at least some xtra power before initiating. this way also during inertia drifts and transitions you can keep boost a little easier....

sound about right guys?

this is the type of question no one can answer.

conditions, style, tons of variables.

stock turbo does work, cranked up to 1bar and your lookin at 200whp easy. iirc an FD drifter is using a fat T76, and does work.

how you drive and your power goals are very big factors.

Man didn't we cover this in your other thread? might want to mention this is going on a half bridge motor as well.

Get on the Search button and get on Garrets website as well as turbonetics and start reading. There are so many variables it is really hard to say what is gonna be "best" I ran a tdo6-20g for years it made 379 to the wheels and was pretty responsive one thing about that turbo is that it made more and more power in the upper rpm, it never fell off. I lifted at 7k on the dyno. I have been experimenting a little since then and reading as much as possible and still am not sure what turbo is gonna be best for me. If I can get the cheapy I have now to make 200 hp at 2500rpm and peak around 370-380 I might keep it for a while.

The one you don't want is this one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=370136267898

That looks like the one I am using now. Could not get with that 1.15 housing.......on the dyno with decent ports it was making 130hp at 3000 rpm and by 4200 it was breaking 300. It also was very difficult to drive on a small course. I put a .96housing on it and holy shit night and day difference.

Thanks mate, i know its hard to say exactly what turbo is the one but i just need to know as my tuner knows nothing about drifting (he is drag racing so bigger is better) but i just want to know at say what a/r should i get
like .7 rear or 1.15 rear is my question but if you think a good base point is .96 then thats cool.
It is going on a big extend port now steered away from bp
