So do s13 coilovers fit an fc? I've seen some ppl talk about them, do you have to mod them?

I'm just gonna leave this here : https://www.rx7club.com/drifting-226/240sx-into-fc-coilover-install-938321/

for future reference, search this forum through google. type what you're searching for like "s13 coils on FC", leave a space and then type "site:rx7club.com" (no spaces in that part at all). works better then the forum search function. you can search any site like that, just use "site:" and the site address.

Alright, thanks man!

I read that.. I just wanted to see if there was an advantage to using s13 coilovers... but no ha, so thread is dead

nah, quality depends on brand but they are all about the same between s13 and FC. if you cheap out and get knock off ebay chinese shit, then you take that chance on quality and more then likely crap valving. at least get some coils 1k or up new price ( if you can find em used then so be it but they will need rebuild sooner depening on miles obviously.) I just used my tax refund to get powered by max coils that were on a car sitting for a little bit but 0 driving miles for $800. I heard they aren't great for daily but good for drifts. I hear stance is good street/track coils.

get out of here....

this is why people who say stupid shit need banned.

1 person "thinks" and 4 others believe it to be possible.

sure it'll fit. drill some holes, and butcher your chassis and have it look like garbage. it'll fit.

Lol. You mad.

FC_fan 03-06-11 10:13 AM

I never said it couldn't be done but there are plenty of cheap used shit floating around that are for FC so why use s13? if he got them mad cheap like someone did on here, then sure. I'm all for making stuff work, even if you were buying s13 shit new, the cheap ebay stuff would get you buy but probably not ride great or last as long as the better brands.

also post 4 OP said he was looking for advantages over FC coils. there are none unless you get s13 really cheap so ya.

I will ammend my previous posts: OP, get something stiff, anything. then get out there and get sideways. use 2x4's for suspension if you have too.lol, just get something cheap if thats your budget, seriously. BUUUUUUUT, plan on getting some quality coils down the road if you don't get good ones to begin with. there are threads on here with whats proven good shit and whats proven not worth the cheap price tag.

My friend has S chassis coils on his FC. You have to modify the lower mounts and top mounts (i.e. drill holes and weld). I think the only reason he got them was someone was selling them for next to nothing and he works in a shop where they have tools to make them fit.

There is no benefit to using them on an FC besides them being cheaper. Save up your money and get some coils made for the FC instead.
