mines came yesterday. Sorry I didn't post. Worked on installing the fronts til about 10. Then knocked out after some pzone and coca cola. I went too damn low and I can turn in the front lol. Adjusting as we speak. But these are nice and stiff as I drove em down the street. Was so tired this morning ended up getting a parking ticket for another one of my cars... damn street sweeping...
Got mine have the bottom mounts and camber plates on the mill right now so I can get more combat out of them lol way nice product tho, jus the build quality of the thing is ten time better than my old k shits, all the components R way more heavier duty too
took em for a bit of test driving after i worked out my rubbing kinks... these things are stiff!! i really need those rear camber links.... anyone know a good spot to buy em?
I checked mmr a few days ago thinking i'd not be cheap but they are who i'd go with. Alas, they are sold out.
For your individual dog bones in your suspension, you can have cut down and re-welded to remove excess negative camber. It's a good temp fix. IIRC, Mark (jebus) did that to his car. I think a couple of other guys on here have done it as well.

Who?
You can damn near lay frame with PSM coils Anyway to contribute to the reviews, junked some JIC FLTA 2's for the PSM and not looking back. Pretty bitchin and brutal ride but if you're complaining about how stiff the ride is then you shouldn't be running coilovers in the first place. SOLD. I'll scoop up a set this winter after i order my motor. |
get some AWR individual links. really high quality stuff, the guys are local for me and they hooked it up bigtime when i walked in with cash, maybe you could paypal them?
i have the mazdatrix main camber link and with all three of them, i run 0 camber in the rear with my 7 slammed. |
I'm buying those gonna be clean

There a guy selling a set n the 2nd gen section for 900 shipped I talked to him about them cause it took Forever for mne and I was Going ask for my money back but they got them but hit him up I'm sure he's got them still
900 shipped? not bad.... 10th any updates on your ride?
these coilovers have got to be the best drifting ons u can get for the price of a set of decent shocks and springs... they are not too bad on the dailydriver. the fact that they only have a 10 click dampening system is great, i have some hks hypermax coils on my other car and there about 32 clicks! its easier to make your mid up on how u want the ride to be. and compared to my hks coils, pbm's are fuckin beefy! they look really heavy duty. the front caster/ camber plates are great, i recently ran into the problem of wanting more front camber and i just slit the top mount hole and shaved my knuckle abit and got MASSIVE camber, thanks to 10thslydur... i would get pbm's for the price and there replacement program they have!

anyways no updates on car beside workin on a wing and sent the crank out to be polished and reworked, got some new wheels and got some shit powdercoated pics will be up soon |
^how about updates on how the coils feel?^
there like everything else, for daily driving there stiff and paired with a welded diff, there some wat uncomfortable....but like everything else u get used to it! like a 6 puck clutch clutch in traffic... lol.
I've yet to mount my coils, but i did put them on the mill and did the top plates more and the bottom mounts tho
I wanna know what all the hype is about these PBM coils. I love my Stance coils and I think they ride pretty damn smooth--only rough sometimes (on roads that would jar any car).
Anybody in the Bay Area with PBMs? It'd be cool to do a comparison. :icon_tup: |

these things are solid! finally took em for some sliding testing and i can say im really happy i bought these. my boy is now gonna switch to pbm coils now lol.
i could not want more for 1056 shipped to my house. however, i did adjust the preload for daily driving and set on soft for the bumpy streets...
I have a set of the PSM coils and I love them. I daily my car and it is very low (<3" of clearance) but the coils still preform very well IMHO. For the price I think they are the best for the FC especially if you plan on drifting. I would suggest not getting any JIC stuff. I know several people who have bought JIC coils and within months the seals blew. To get those rebuilt they have to be sent back to the factory and it is not cheap, PSM on the other hand just sends you a new damper for $100. Mine have been on for over a year driving on all sorts of shitty roads and no leaks or anything! Obvs DG5 is dope but for the price you could completely overhaul your suspension with everything you need like bushings and camber links and a set of coils.
This thread has all but convinced me of buying PBMs, however I am still curious how they perform for not only a daily driven to work car, but on bumpy and or gravely canyon roads? I don't want a ride that is so obnoxious to drive it would make it tougher for canyon roads, or annoying to drive to work everyday in.
I want to hit a local drift comp, drive to work the next day, and get my gf wet pushing the car's limits over one of the local touge roads that night. Any input? |
I run Tein Flex, good for whatever your doing. They're softer than most but work well in any situation.
