damn guys you ppl really have some nice 7 makes motivated to work harder on getting mine:icon_tup:

stu89 05-21-08 12:03 AM

How do the 7's keep up in the drifting or are all the cars pretty equal?

burtoncr 05-21-08 12:17 AM

They are harder to drift than any S body. Much more grip and pivot around the center vs the front wheels (on a S body).

thats a pretty good explanation, IMO.

i find that among myself and other drifters (in s-chassis's) of the same skill level, the FC seems to a little quicker around the track. I usually have a little less angle but the difference in speed is noticeable. I think this is because of what burtoncr said. the car pivots around the center of the car rather than the front. i seems like a more 4 wheel drifting than other s chassis's. even when i pull off the track my front tires are usually pretty gummy and feathered like I have been sliding on them. And I wasn't understeering. meanwhile, my buddies s chassis front tires look the same as when he started.

My bro took 1st in the AZ Drift Machine's 1st round of a 5 round series held for advanced, intermediate, and beginner drivers. Forrest competes here, also with him is his hawaiian buddy Gary and fellow D1 driver Ernie Fixmer.

Justin what rack do you use? it looks like your full lock is increased; is it a modified rack, s13 rack or a aftermarket? -ryan

Original streering output :-) The wing is gone as you can see in the wet-car photo! (screwed the sideskirts during training on the track, so I took it off together with the wing).

Tatakai 05-30-08 10:43 PM

i just got back from doing work all over the track today. 9 hour drift days FTW!!

waiting for photographers to upload pics.. damn, it ended almost 3 hours ago, whats taking them so long!!?? lol

K!NCH 05-30-08 11:09 PM

Justin, I love your car more every time I see it. So sick.

And that FD is looking really good.

:)

Zenki FC3S 05-31-08 02:02 PM

there are no cons. just 100% pure lock up.... just keep topics like this in appropriate sections.

zachCutthroat FcDrifter 05-31-08 02:04 PM

thanks!
haha yeah i'm sorry about that, i'm new to the forum, well forums in general. i didn't mean to post it here.

so you can weld a limited slip dif> cause i saw somewhere that you can't. and you don't lose acceleration?

hhn2002 05-31-08 03:46 PM

i dont know about welding a lsd but u dont lose traction in a straight line u gain it when your hard on it.

Zenki FC3S 05-31-08 04:20 PM

you can only weld a open diff, not a lsd cuz ther are no spider gears in an lsd diff. and it wont make you any slower.
