Road rash on polished Aluminum

My Enkei's said hi to a curb only to get their ass kicked. Anyone have any good tips/methods or preferred products for fixing polished aluminum?

On my Audi rims I had a metallic German finish that "can't be replicated" in the USA due to emissions but I remember shopping around to get a metallic silver spray can color that was close-- from there just prep with tape - sand - prime and re spray from 8 inches + away from them

Add another coat and you should be golden but less is more when repairing curbage

If it's bare polished aluminum the scrapes need to be sanded down with 220 grit until all the defects are gone. Then you work your way up to 2000 grit paper. One step at a time. 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500 and finally 2000. Then hit it with a buffer wheel on a drill with some buffing rouge for aluminum. Then hit it with normal wheel polish.

If it's really deep you can have it filled in with TIG machine then sand and polish as usual.

If you change direction everytime you change grit it will make it easier to make sure you've removed all of the previous grits scratched. Alternate perpendicularily.
