from the pics, it looks like you have a metal sunroof. i thought '94 sunroofs only came in glass.

Oh I'm glad Rob reminded me...for those of you who may buy the Zymol but don't bother to read the directions, DO NOT apply it in a circular fashion. It's kinda hard to get rid of the swirl marks by making them again It's to be applied in a side to side motion (left to right etc), and do one small panel at a time (do larger panels in two parts, etc). Oh and use one cotton rag (like a 100% cotton undershirt) to apply, and a different one to wipe off/remove. And of course, everything should be done in the SHADE, after the car's been thoroughly washed and dried.

but yeah, i didnt get a chance to use it rami, i washed my car and i was happy i was going to try it, then the bright *** sun came shining on my driveway..i was like noooo

my car is parked under the tree but i guess that 2pm sunlight just shines everywhere plus i had work so i couldnt wait for shade..o well, i guess next week when its time to wash the car again

Also has anyone tried Griot's Garage cleaning and waxing products? I have a friend with a Ferrari who has won several clean car contests and he swears by their stuff. It's pricey though.

 

FD newbie, u have to be very gentle with claybar. i learned the hard way too a long time ago.

but i dont recommend you do it more than once or twice a year. its tiresome. but ill try some of these new waxes. i use an orbital buffer though, seems to have a bit more power than my muscles.

id like that orbital buffer from griotts garage for chirstmas... lol

 

They really only come in one offset that'll fit the FD. Fronts (8.5) are 37, rears (10) are 41.

Yea I'm sure you're right, but I'm NEVER putting that thing on my car again. Never ever. Zymol's simple, and works fine every time, no surprises.

Yeah the Griot's Garage orbital buffer looks really nice. So do most of all there other stuff...I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had an experience with the waxes.

 

Well the thing is, SSR has just recently been acquired by Tanabe, and up until now the ONLY authorized distributor of their wheels is Tire Rack. Tire Rack lists sizes and specs by application ONLY. Ie, they don't (or won't share) lists of all the sizes and dimensions a given rim comes in in a certain bolt pattern.

After several calls and being incredibly stubborn (as I am when I really want something), I finally found out they actually have the GT3s in 9s and 10.5s, but they're not listed on their website because they're not "proper fit" ie they don't guarantee that they'll fit, you can't return them if they don't, and they don't list them for the FD. BUT, they exist. So...what are the offsets they come in? You guessed it...37 and 41 lol. That's the only offset available for the GT3s in our bolt pattern, plain and simple. There's no getting around out. FD's aren't the most popular cars, so only so many manufacturers offer wheels for our cars w/ the proper offset...

My car is 100% bone stock suspension right now. That's gonna change very very soon though, at which point I gotta see if I'm going to need wider rims or not =-/ Ideally, if I knew about the 9s and 10.5s, I woulda bought them from the get-go, cuz I'm sure they'll fit. Might rub the fender if the car's dropped, but that's the least of my concern.

 

Yeah, I've always been a little worried about rubbing after I get suspension mods since the wheels were only available in 37 and 41mm offsets. Those offsets seem slightly lower than other offsets of the same sized wheels. Keep me posted on how the suspension modding works out for you.
Now, back to waxes...
