Who's going to make it to Deals Gap Rotary Rally 2006?
Well, it looks like I should be there with a freshly rebuilt 20B this time! I'm getting BDC here to port and tune the beast. With a bit of luck, I should have very close to 400WHP this year.
Oh, I threw this together a few minutes ago. Me likey.

I plan to be there in my '93 FD. I have a few minor things I need to do to it before then, and hopefully I won't break anything in the process.
Does anyone know of any plan to meet up in Chattanooga again this year on the way up?

FYI: I'm working on the lodging as we speak. I should have detail info tomorrow afternoon (Pricing and phone number).
Kevin, I hope to see you and that FD.
I'm planning to stay with friends that week in Cleveland Tn.
I should be able to get there in an hour from their place.
Weather dosen't matter - rain just makes it more fun..

I have an idea....
How many of you need your fenders rolled??
I'm thinking about buying one of those Eastwood Fender Roller and bring it to Deals Gap. Obviously, people would need to sign up and use it for FREE (thanks to sponsors).
Would this be something to attract more people to Deals Gap??
Let me know..

Phil, I would suggest you invest in a heat gun as well if you're going to do this. If you do it when it's cold you run the risk of cracking paint. The heat gun will (help) alleviate this. Ask me how I know...
Actually, I think I have one at the house. If you'd like, (and if you remind me when the time comes) I'll bring it with me.

Reese, Great point. Your right. I do have a heat gun at my house.
I might just buy it with my money.. I think its useful to have. I want to roll my rear fenders wider. Do you think this roller could do that? I've heard people have inclease the width to almost an inch.

You can do it, you just have to be careful. We got rid of the craptacular fiberglass fenders I had up front for a while and put stockers back on. The roll isn't perfect (you can see that it's a little wavy), but it isn't that bad, either. If I had to guess, I gained almost 2 fingers (very technical measurement) in width on each one.
As aggressive as I went, I cracked the hell out of the paint. Just an FYI.

Reese, Using that thing, do you think I could put a lip on it? I've seen couple of cars that had lips rolled out using something similar.
Kind of like this car..

Just wondering.

Phil, I too have been wanting to buy one of these to do my fleet of rotaries.
I have been putting it off for some time now. If you plan on just doing one car maybe you should not buy it and just use mine once I get it.

Chad If you get it let me know.. I'm trying to find one local to borrow.
Reese, I know. I think combination of heat and patience, I think I could get it to come out like that. I rolled my Blk FD with a end of my hammer and some heat. Worked great without any cracking. I've also heard that if you wax the paint few times and heat it it will reduce cracking.. But that might be just urban legend.
