I would like to thank all the sponsors who helped out with this event. Without their support, this event could not of happened. Please before you make your purchase next time, consider those who helped out vs. those who ignored this event.

I would like to Thank personally, Billy from Re-Speed! Not only he sponsored DGRR event, he also donated over $1000 worth of parts to give away. He also helped me out greatly by becoming a webmaster of DGRR website.

Ray Crowe from Malloy Mazda who also sponsored the event and donated $250 worth of gift certificates.

Kevin Landers from Rotaryressurection He has supported this event for past 2 events and attended both events.. Unfortunately, I never really got a chance to talk to him as he's surrounded by people asking him about rotary engines.. Maybe next time Kevin! And thanks again for your support!

Bryan from BNR Supercars who sponsored EVERY year and was unable to attend every year due to work schedule.

Jason from RX7stores - Jason has given the MOST amount of donation over past 3 year than ANY other sponsors!!!

David from Speed4Sale - If you know someone who's looking for an import sports car (and some domestic sports car) check out Speedforsale.com. They specialize in hard to find imports.

Dan from Atkins Rotary - For the first time, Sponsor contacted me and wanted to help! I greatly appreciate you seeing this event and wanting to help out! Thank you!

Brian from Trussville Mazda - They are my local Mazda dealership and have gone out of their way to help me with this event and one of the best car dealership I've dealt with! If you are in SE and looking to buy a New Mazda! I highly recommend checking out Trussville! Its also one of the largest Mazda Dealership in SE!!!

Ramy from FDNewbie Imports - Ramy, Ramy, Ramy..... What can I say about Ramy. Well, I've known Ramy for over 4 years. I met him when I attended DC/VA/MD Rotary get together back in 2002 or was it 2003... Ever since meeting him, we been good friends for years! Everytime I'm around his area, we go out to lunch and talk about rotary cars and such! Great guy and now great person to get RARE Japanese only parts! I know me and Rich (GoodfellaFD3S) bought our rare Spirit R seats from him.

Ken from Shine Auto - Unlike other 'knock' off body kit company.. They are AMAZING in quality. I should know as I been buying body kits for my FD's for YEARS!! For example their FEED bumpers.. I have the original bumper from Feed and Shine Autos are as good as the ones I have... maybe even better! Their quality is BY FAR the best I've seen! So, when you are looking for body kits, Don't waste your time looking at other companies.. Go with Shine Auto!!

I would also like to thank those who helped out at the event..

John (20b 3rd Gen) - For the past 3 years, he took 3 days off from his work and help me set up this event, and bringing up all our equipments and shirts. Without him, NO SHIRTs could be here!

Stephen (SPOautos) - Also for the past 3 years, he spent the days away from work and family to help me with this event. He's also the the guy I brain stormed about the event. Without Stephen and his support, this event would not of happened. I would also like to point out, Stephen is one of the BIGGEST rotorhead I know. He's the reason how I met all the rotorheads down here and made me feel welcomed when I moved from OH to AL. Thanks Stephen!

Jason (RoughRex) - I really REALLY like to thank Jason for spending over 3+ hours printing name tags for us. I don't know if any of you seen how big the printer was.. but that thing isn't small and quite of a hassel to carry it around in a small car like RX7.. Thank you again!

Holly (ROTORX7Holly) - Holly is one of the NICEST person I know! She helped out with DGRR for past 3 years and also brought many items for me to give out. Last year, she helped out by doing all the name tags and passing out T-shirts.. This year, she helped out by getting all the waivers signed. Again, Thank you Holly for your help!!!

Luke (?? from OHIO) - I met Luke toward the end... But what Stephen tells me, you just showed up and asked to help out passing out the shirts. Stephen and I would like to thank you for your help! He spent 2+ hours passing out T-shirts! Thank you!

TC (ts7) - Without you, I think some people would had issue with parking their cars. Thank you so much for helping out with this event...

Jeremy (PureMdMa) - What can I say about Jeremy... NOthing.. He's the laziest man I know.. J/K! Jeremy designed the shirts, Took videos of the event, took pictures, moved boxes and made arrans, and now he and I will spend days and days trying to make the event DVD. I really owe one to Jer for his hard work!

Clint (Golferfreddie) - Clint is my local contact and fellow FD owner who contacted LEOs and Fontana Village. Without Clint, I couldn't of set up the Banquet nor would hard to get Blunt County officers to come out to the event.. FYI, we been trying to get Blunt county to come out to give us a short speech for past 3 years! And this year was the first!

All the Group Leaders... (Chris - SPICcnmGT, Mike - Trexthe3rd, Ryan - poss)I don't remember all your names.. But thank you so much for waking up early and going out to the Dragon. Luckily there were Zero accident involving our group (Miata that somehow joined the first group was NOT part of our event).

Darryl from www.Killboy.com - Who came out and spoke to us EVERY YEAR! Please remember that he's spending his valuable time away from taking pics to come speak to us! SO, being said, BUY some pictures from him! This is how he makes his living!

Officer Allen from Blunt County - I would like to thank him for taking his time and coming out!

Rob Seneker - What can I say about Rob... Rob is a Legend around the Dragon! I know some of you didn't know who he was.. But He's the MAN! He's a pro bike rider and fellow FD owner. The Legend says, he has the fastest time on the Dragon...
I was talking to him and he said he will DEFINITELY help out next year! Maybe even take some of the Group Leaders out with him and point out certain parts about the Dragon..

And Finally, All of you Rotorheads who spent your weekend driving up to this event. Without the attendees, this event would not exist. So, thank you for attending and hopefully NEXT year will be better than this year!

Thank you!

PHILIP SOHN

Thank you phil, thank you john for bringing the shirts, thanks golferfreddie for hooking me up with a room at the very very last minute, thanks to the shirt distributers, name tag distributers, and really everyone that had anything to do in the slightest amount with this year's event. Thanks for giving us a little bit of knowledge about Mark for those who had never met him. I really do feel like I missed out not knowing him but everyone said that he really wanted to be there this year, when in reality, he was. Thanks everyone

Turbo II 04-23-07 11:50 AM

THANKS to all yall!

OK, how about thanks to everyone who made it happen and happened to make it!

So much for some of us group leaders leading hah! After trying to get people to form groups and most everyone had left the lake we made our little advance suicide group (where the Miata lost it trying to chase us) and had a very fun run.

va creeper 04-23-07 12:48 PM

Thanks everyone who worked to put this togeather, You all did a really great job. By the may, Turbo11, you followed me in the slow run Saturday. Got a nice pic of the red one with about 6 other 2nd gens rounding a curve behind you. I'll try and get it loaded up for you. It's not all bad getting stuck behind one of those ol slow verts...

So, who was the Miata driver?? He is BANNED from Any DGRR event from NOW ON!

PerkyStina 04-23-07 12:58 PM

^^^He made a mistake. geez. lay off. why make a speech about Mark White being a "true rotorhead" when you keep attacking someone who lost control of their car? :( Joey is a rotorhead. He just didn't trust the FB making it all the way to DGRR and back home again.

PerkyStina 04-23-07 01:03 PM

Thanks SO much to everyone who made this event happen! I intend buying some prings from Killboy once the pix are posted from the event. :D This year was SOOO much better than any other previous rotary event I've been to. Phil, I apologize for giving you such a hard time last week. Thanks SO much for holding this event together.

I'm not going to argue and waste more time. He's out of next DGRR event.

And if you continue to complain about this event, I suggest you to NOT attend in the future..

STREET RACING IS BAD MK 04-23-07 01:06 PM

Thank you sponsors, volunteers, and speakers for making this a great year. And to all the haters STAY HOME!!! We need the room for next year lol.

prew 04-23-07 01:45 PM

Thank you Phil and everyone else that made this event possible. I will definitely keep the sponsors in mind when making future purchases.

SPICcnmGT 04-23-07 01:55 PM

The reason Phil is on him is he lost control of his car. Which means he was doing something he shouldn't have been, but most off all he just joined up out of nowhere and started running with THE FASTEST GROUP with mostly supped up FD's and other better performing cars, in a looked to be stock miata which in no way was going to keep up. And all this was right after everyone was told not to try and keep up if you can't. It was stressed heavily that he/we didn't want anyone to wreck.

hus 04-23-07 02:11 PM

Thanks to Phil and the rest of everyone that made this possible. Will be there next year...if there is a next year...but I'll go up there anyway.

darthrotary 04-23-07 08:43 PM

I would like to THANK RE-SPEED! for the Big Brake Kit I won at the dinner. And everyone else involved.
"Damn Right I Own A FB!" :0

RoughRex 04-23-07 10:17 PM

A BIG thanks to everyone involved especially Phil for making this event possible! I had an awesome time! Every trip to the dragon lets me meet more cool rotorheads, see lots of great auto's (the REPU is sex on wheels Charles), tells me more about what my car needs, AND hones my skill (or lack there of) as a driver. I will definitely consider sponsors of this event before any future part purchases!

Thanks everyone!!

RotaryResurrection 04-24-07 12:12 PM

Yes, thank you Phil. I hope I can do more to help out in the future. Sorry I didnt stick around for the dinner, I had to be heading this way after about 5pm.

zonblitz 04-24-07 01:19 PM

Thanks to Phil (you rock), all the sponsors, I want to name some but all gave support! Oh hell, Respeed, Ray Crowe and Mr. Downey for sure!

To everyone else, Wow! What a great time! I can't wait to go back next year!

Far as I know, the guy in the Miata decided that he didn't need to come to the main event at the Dam... So, he didn't even hear what the LEO's or other speakers had to say..

Mark wasn't your friend, if he was you would never have considered mentioning him in such a way. Spare us the childish attempt to defend the asshat in the miata.

I really didn't want to get into this.. But I was bit frustrated with her also..

Your comparison with Mark White is WAY OFF!! Someone who refuses to be part of the rotary group because he wants to fullfil his selfishness and goes out on their own to the gap, can't be even be compare to someone we all respect. I didn't dedicate this event to Mark thinking he would be compare to some guy who wrecks his car to later found out police is looking for him.

My suggestion to you Christina is think before what you say. If you continue to cause issues and dislike about the event, I highly suggest not be part of the event. I've stated this before, I've wasted great deal amount of time with you that lead to nothing but more head ache.

PHIL

I was comparing your speech about Mark White's Rotorheaded-ness to YOU and your HYPOCRISY. Not Joey. Joey did NOT choose to have an accident, and the police were NOT looking for him. There was another wreck somewhere else on the dragon and they were looking for those involved in THAT one. Phil, get your facts straight before being such an ass. We were concerned about our friend because he wrecked on the dragon and was waiting for the tow truck the last time we saw him. Since there is no cell signal, we were worried he was stranded somewhere with no ride.

My apologies for my lack of clarity when I mentioned Mark White. I just found you very asinine this past weekend when you made this wonderful speech about this man that everyone respects, but you turn around and say horrible things about someone who has done nothing wrong. I'm done talking about this issue. You are a dishonorable and unjust person to be around. I made my efforts to speak with you and apologize for last week's issue with the waiver, but it is apparent that you are very small-minded and lack any respect for anyone but yourself.

In regards to your griping about my presence at this weekend's event, I came because I enjoy the rotary community and enjoy learning new things everyday regarding these cars. I couldn't believe that you felt like I was there to antagonize YOU. I don't know what you have against people who get under your skin, but I will laugh the day you call me racist, because that seems to be your trend when someone rubs you wrong.

Phil, my suggestion to you is speak to all involved before making assumptions and any other decisions in your life.

DRTHVDR 04-24-07 04:51 PM

Christina, stop bugging Phil. He's got a ton of irritating pissy babies on his back. Your unimportant issue should just be forgotten.

Obviously others didn't quite understand you either and you tend to cause problems then actually help.. Glad we are straight on this and I guess you wouldn't be joining the group in the future? Good luck with everything..

Ok... I've held my tongue while you two have bickered all this time but enough is enough. You are both good people and for me to sit and watch you build animosity between each other pains me. You BOTH have a problem with the way you are communicating with each other. You are BOTH annoyed with each other and NIETHER OF YOU are being very diplomatic. You have both Compounding the situation by snipping at each other!

1. Cool off and take a moment to see the other persons point of view.

2. Take a moment and think about how what you say is going to affect the person you are saying it to. "DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU!" It's the frickin' golden rule ppl! Learn to be civil even if you disagree!!

3. Put it in a PM and stop airing your issues in front of the whole damn world!! It's unsightly and doesn't paint a good picture in peoples minds for either of you!

I have met and talked with both of you and you are both good people. Stop letting stupid disagreements ruin a good relationship! I suggest you BOTH apologize for the way you have treated each other and DROP IT, whipe the slate clean and start over.

Unfortunately, I am often misunderstood. I lack greatly in the communication department. I am very sorry for the past two weeks of hell I have caused you. You didn't deserve that with all of the other stress you were under for the event. These past couple of weeks have been a learning experience for me to work on how things may come across online.

Secondly, I may go next year, I haven't made a decision... it's much too far away to make an absolute choice over such a thing. I appreciate your hard work this year, and all that you have done for the past events. I was blown away at how well organized this year's event turned out.

Thanks again,
Christina
