David, you already got coverage on MotorMavens. What you complaining about :)

Naw, but I am honored to read that though.. I know my car isn't everyone's taste, but did put some time and some blood into it. But, I was surprise your car didn't win anything this year, David! I might have to pick better judges for next year's DGRR :)

Phil I love your car, I have more pictures of it that I need to post up as I did take a ton of the event. The MB paint has always been my favorite, hopefully I will have my own rotary to bring to the event next year.

Saw that and I appreciate it brother :)

Phil, Ricj says I wasn't eligible to win anything this year. Had I known that, I would have kicked back and enjoyed the ride instead of trying to keep that massive pollen off of the car.

Nice coverage!!!

David, Next year, its going to be all out ultimate competition... Everyone will be allow to win, including me :)

Also, I'm going to have a point system and make those guys fill it out. I'm sure its going to be close one next year for one who takes the winning spot!!

Scottie, would love to see more pics of my car... I know it was pretty dirty as the guy I lend it to didn't clean it ;) Are you heading up to Formula Drift in Road ATL?? If so, we should hang out and get some good food in ATL!

lt1_rx7 04-24-10 10:08 AM

I love the pic of Allen's (rotarybeat1287) white S4 T2...

Unfortunately, no I won't be at Formula D :( I have a wedding that day to attend so I will miss this year. Probably head to Vegas when they have their event if I have the money.

Will post up the rest of your car later Phil.

Great article, some amazing rides there and I know I haven't seen all the pics yet. Hopefully some G'ville 7's can show up next year to represent.

rotarybeat1287 04-24-10 10:31 PM

My TII made it in the writeup!!! OMG! haha. Thanks! :)

David, if you are really that concerned about winning an award then PM me your address and you can have mine. Awards aren't important, hanging out with fellow members of the rotary community and driving hard on nice roads are what really matter to me.

I don't know Rich... I'm going to put LED lights all around the car and light it up to the sound of music... Kind of like this?

Just kidding around Dan. We could swap awards, I'll send you mine from last year. You got the important part right, it's hanging out with fellow rotor heads and seeing all of the cool cars. Driving the roads this year was a blast.

evot23 04-26-10 05:36 AM

I like the idea of everyone stepping it up for show competition next year (not that I can think of anything that needs to be improved in any of your cars). Should be a treat for the rest of us.

Herblenny 04-26-10 06:37 AM

By the way, I would like to state that the car show issues aren't the fault of the judges, but me as an organizer. I was very unclear of the rules and also short amount of time I've given to the judges. All the judges were well qualified, leaders in the rotary community, fantastic at judging the cars, and they did an amazing job in short amount of time given to them!
I apologize for my earlier statement, in which it might of perceived that I was blaming the judges... as I realized now, its mainly due to lack of information I've given and lack of organization of the event. Next year, hopefully all will be better and better rules will be set. We all learn from our mistakes.

Supernaut 04-26-10 11:01 AM

O man, now I'll never win. Ahh well now I can just drive the hell out of my car and not worry next year hahaha.

lol, that's what I was thinking. No way I could ever get to that level in a year (or two). I'll just "go to show" but not to compete.

papsmagu 04-26-10 03:12 PM

great write up!!!! first time at DGRR and i had a blast. everyone was freindly, cars were incredible and the roads were SICK!!! i will be back next year for sure!!!
