DGRR Raffle for FREE Engine Build - Sponsored by Rotary Rebuild Store
DGRR Raffle for FREE Engine Build - Sponsored by Rotary Rebuild Store
Owner of Rotary Rebuild Store, David Jerome has agree to do a raffle to raise money for ALS foundation for finding cure for Lou Gherigs disease. One of our fellow rotorhead Mark White (Mark57) passed away couple of years ago and last time @ DGRR we collected donations and donated $600 to ALS foundation of New Orleans (Mark's home town). The winner of this raffle will get FREE rebuild of 13B engine from Rotary Rebuild Store. Each raffle ticket will be sold for $10 and ALL proceeds will goto ALS foundation of New Orleans. I'll let Rotary Rebuild Store to get on and tell us what you will get for the rebuild.. Once again, I would like to thank David for doing this and all the other sponsors for making DGRR 2009 happen! Thank you! Philip Sohn |
woot!
I'll pay 10 bucks for that. Even if I don't win, it's for a good cause! |
Well that takes me out of the raffle. Why only a 13B? I'll probably donate anyway (just remind me, I'm very forgetful)

First off, thanks to Phil for hosting this great event and helping shed light on small rotary based businesses like mine and the other great sponsors of this event.
For those that dont know myself or my business I will take a little time to explain my history with rotaries/rx7s. I have been involved in the rotary world since 2001 when I purchased my first FD. I have since owned around 70 fds, and modified/brokered countless others. These cars have taken me all around the U.S., introduced me to some of my closest friends, and provided memories and experiences that will truly last a lifetime. There are few events left that bring large groups of rotor heads together, and I guarantee none are like the DGRR event. RotaryRebuildStore.com is a small business I started when I realized the decline in the used car market. At just over 1 year into the new business I am happy to report it is growing rapidly and I am constantly looking for ways to increase the quality of my engines while decreasing the price for my customers. The market is not what it once was around the turn of the new century but with great enthusiasts like Phil and others, the rotary will continue to have a great future and a cult like following :). I am not trying to exclude anyone, but it is hard for me to get parts for 12As and Renesis engines so I figured I would stick with the standard 13B engines(Na or Turbo, S4-S6). This will NOT be one of my pre-built short blocks. The winner of the raffle will be able to send me an engine and I will take care of the rebuild labor, and rebuild kit free of charge. Any damaged parts such as, rotors, housings, irons, bearings, and e-shafts will not be covered under the rebuild. If I have the parts you need on the shelf I will offer you a great deal on the parts you need. Keep in mind I have lots of 13B-Rew parts and S5 TII parts but few parts from other series. Rebuild will include: 2mm Atkins Apex Seals New Apex Seal Springs New Corner Seal Springs New Corner Seal Plugs New Coolant Seals and Coolant O-rings Atkins Thermal Pellet Viton Oil Control Rings Rebuilt Oil Pump New Front Cover Gakset New Front and Rear Main Seals Porting if the customer desires Hopefully many will participate in this raffle as it truly goes to a good cause. Thanks to Phil and all the others who help with and support this great event. David Jerome 865-385-5622 |
When do we buy the Raffle tickets? I will buy one.. Great cause and it shows how great our rotary community is!!
|
We will sell the raffles during registration/check in.. Again, this is going for a great cause and i would like to thank David Jerome for offering.
|
Dan Atkins contacted me and will be giving me extremely low rates on the rebuild kit for this engine. I did not ask Dan or Atkins for this, they simply volunteered, great group of people who just wanted to help out with a great cause.

Sweet! I'm always down for helping for a good cause. I'll most likely buy a few. Oh and Phil, when I do get there will I need anything? Like a ticket or something? Or will my name be on some sort of list? Can't wait! Weee!!! exactly 2 more weeks!

Maybe I'll buy a 13B from you guys to build for me if I win. Is that an option?

To anyone interested in participating in this raffle, you are not limited to anything I have posted in this thread. My original post just describes what is the base product you will receive if you win the raffle. We can build the engine as custom as you would like for additional charges. |
you should set un an online raffle for those who cant attend. Would help make extra cash
