Thank's for the update on the names Jeremy and Marco. I cannot update the post here. So as it gets closer to the event. I will compile the list in a post, or we can post list and have anyone additional add their name.

Simon that sounds great, of course you and Joe are welcome to join our caravan. Let us know if you have any questions about arriving in the area. Also it is very helpful to have a 2-way radio set on channel 7. I look forward to meeting you guys.

I'd tag along, but I think I may go up Thursday. The caravan last year was great.

I shouldn't have to write this here, but I have lots of experience caravaning and yes, we are all excited to get to our destination, but let's do it safely and be sure we don't leave anyone behind. We do not have to stay in the same line-up all the time, but keep the following in mind.

CARAVANING COURTESIES:
1. ALL vehicles, especially the 1st and last, should have a 2-way radio, set to channel 7. Double check communication before leaving the meeting spot.
2. The lead vehicle should have a passenger to help navigate.
3. The last vehicle should have a passenger or know where they are going.
4. All vehicles should never leave any other vehicle behind, at a stop light, etc. Slow down until the vehicle catches up, and communicate on 2-way to the group.
5. All vehicles should keep an eye on the vehicle behind them and slow down, if need be, that way we do not lose anyone.
6. If you need to pull over communicate via 2-way, or if it is an emergency, try to get the attention of vehicle in front of you and pull over, when they see you are missing, they will let everyone know to pull over and wait. Then we can decide if all need to come back to you, or just wait at another spot.

In general keep count of everyone and the lead vehicle should be aware that all is accounted for by getting info from the last vehicle.

I wouldn't miss this Mike, the Dragon open or not. I have made it every year so far, and don't plan to miss any. I even made it the one year I didn't drive a rotary. This year I'm back in my personal rotary.... an RX-9.... Keep your eye on the rear ends. (I re-badged my silver RX-8 and made it a 9)

I can't wait to see you, I'm so glad you are going to make it back to the hills of NC & TN. :)

So many new faces will be coming to this years event so it will be super nice to see some familiar faces........ I hope the weather holds for this years event, I recall that it rained last year on the last day on the event. Also I know that the area went through many issues with rock slides and all but it looks like from what i read on the net that we are clear for take off.

just curious what time u all figure on coming thu here. there was talk about the sc guys meeting up at westgate around 1pm but haven't seen anything else about it. maybe i need to start an sc caravan thread.

I have a question for the caravan from Atlanta. My downpipe was delivered to my former house (that is for sale, by the way) and a friend picked it up for me. He hasn't had a chance to ship it yet. Would anyone be willing to bring it to DGRR? If so, please let me know and I'll get it to you.

He's in the Marietta area.

Michael, the ATL caravan will not be headed up I-85. We are going up I-985, thru Gainesville, GA and up thru Franklin, NC. Our path will not cross the Spartanburg, SC area. Click on the Planned Route link in my previous post.
