Thats a bummer! but i must say, it could have been far, far worse. glad to hear you are ok!

maybe some of the other first gen guys will have a chance at 1st place next year, lol

Stevan 04-22-13 03:22 AM

Paint necessary, cringe : ( But yeah, could have been worse.
Can you eat her in Alabama? Back in my home state (NY) they allow you to take her home : )

That blows man, but glad you're ok. I think I was several cars behind you on the Dragon on Saturday, there was a white 1st gen that was woopin some FD butt lol.

t_g_farrell 04-22-13 10:18 AM

Damn Robert! Hope you are ok. Looks like easy sheetmetal to fix. New project!

I have some spare headlight lids and maybe some other parts. Let me know what you need.

ray green 04-22-13 11:15 AM

Sorry to see that Robert, your white car and paint job have always been so pristine. It's sad to see those scratches and dents.

The good news is that I'm sure the next time I see your white SA it will look just the same as we've always known it. Not that you needed one more thing to do.

PortedRotorTuner 04-22-13 11:32 AM

Sorry to hear! :( But I'm glad your ok! I'm sure you'll have her in tip top shape in no time!

rotorypolo 04-22-13 11:57 AM

Robert. Glad u r ok!! Those FD brakes were wonderful and served a very important purpose. I am sure the SA will be up and back to her old glorious form soon! Take care

Gringo Grande 04-22-13 12:09 PM

Robert: Glad you were ok.

In regards to your car: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Daedalus704 04-22-13 12:34 PM

Great to hear that you are alright.

As far as the car is concerned, while unfortunate at least it can be fixed.

msimonov 04-22-13 12:39 PM

Sorry to see the damage Robert. Glad to hear you are OK. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

ROTORX7Holly 04-22-13 01:51 PM

Robert, so glad you're OK. If it had to happen, at least it happened on the trip home..... AFTER you took 1st place. Hope to see it back to beautiful soon.

Holly

Thanks for the kind comments, they make me feel better. I am lucky that it was not worse, I braked hard for the first deer and was praying that there was not a second one but my prayers were unanswered, but I had slowed down alot so the impact was much less severe than if not for the first deer. Its not quite as minor as it looks, the hood is damaged more than shows in the pic and the radiator support is kinked up pretty good. Im looking for a good right headlight bucket, nose piece and hood if you guys know where any good ones are I will travel for rust free parts in good shape.

I'm looking at all this as a chance to fix some difficiencies that have bugged me for awhile.

Thanks again for the kind comments!!

ray green 04-22-13 07:23 PM

Glad you're OK Robert, that's all that counts.

I have the rad support and the right headlight bucket (and that lsd rear end). Let's arrange a pick up.
