My DGRR-X experience

In the first, a wet drive on the Dragon, where I saw a truck, a bunch of Bronco's, and some OGTA luminaries.

In the second, my favorite scenic drive, Deals Gap to Fontana.

The 12a sounds good, even if I do say so myself.

Thanks for posting this. What did you use to make the video and mount it on the windshield?

IPhone 5s, I think the mount is called arkin or arkon. The cheapest available on amazon. I have 4, one in each car. The resolution is not as good as from the phone to my tv at home. I'd hoped for better, but this is my 1st video uploading experience.
A big screen and 5.1 surround make it a better viewing experience. YouTube wouldn't work for me.
That said, the 12a does sound good. Sorry I had to leave Saturday, a neighbor passed and I had to do the neighborly thing. 2 good days nonetheless.

Nice videos. The Tail is a great road.

Now I'll play the role of old guy and local to the area and advise those watching to never cross the double yellow lines on the Tail of the Dragon. That's never as only bad things will surely happen. You just don't know when someone else will do the same thing and come whipping around a corner to take you out. The odds of having an accident and having someone severely injured are just too great.

Enjoy the road but practice staying on your side. It's not as fast but it takes a lot of skill nonetheless. :)

Hey, one cool thing about this video (to me anyway) is that you met our group coming the opposite way, Unexpected surprise, Thanks!

Big thanks David Hayes on your coaching. I've driven my FD for over 11 years but never understood its abilities. I've never had the opportunity.

My pleasure. The mountains can be very intimidating and then throw in some rain and you have a recipe for lot's of stress. The FD is a really capable car and a better platform than most of us (including me) can test the limits.

Thanks David. This must be stated repeatedly.

Finally got to meet and talk to a few of you (at the dam shoot primarily). Too much stuff to do and too many people to meet in too little time. Hopefully I'll actually have my car done (if I don't tear something else apart) for next year, so I can get around better and be able to participate more. Hitching rides is less than ideal, but it was a lot better than not making it again.
