Subforum title changes ?

In the interest of reducing the number of moved threads, would aministrators please consider renaming the 3rd Gen forum
blue headers 3rd Generation technical (1993-2002) and it's subforum: 3rd Gen non-technical discussion ? or something other than "normal" or "general discussion threads" if this is possible ?
Yes, I know "non-technical" is explained beside the general discussion title, but apparently some are adverse to reading fine print.
I understand the context of "normal" being threads that aren't stickied, but if the header can be changed ? and if it was called "non-technica discussionl" or non technical could replace the word normal? perhaps less threads would get posted in wrong subforums or moved ? I'm frankly more concerned that so many threads get moved without any input from posters, but anyway, just thought I would suggest a change, if possible.
I think the confusing words are "normal" and general, and we already know there are no sticky threads below the sticky section of posts.

Cheers

Blk_93,

Thanks for the suggestion. This is currently being addressed in the Forum Changes Poll thread. Post 1 of that thread has a download file the outlines some basic streamlining, one of which is a name change of the sub-forums. It was also readdressed in Post 76. Please refer to the Proposed Changes to RX-7 Club – Member Input Needed thread if you have any additional suggestions, want to propose a change, or cast votes on proposals to improve the forum.

TBH, I didn't read the thread because it was locked. Suggestion #7 of 8 suggestions, thanks.

Is the related thread feature part of the forum engine ? or is that feature optional ? Thanks

locked thread can be read, just can't post reply.

related threads can be turned off thru the user CP(control panel).

blk_93,

Would you be referring to the old Poll thread in December? Yes, that one is closed for comments. However, the links provided are currently open for comments. Additionally, you voted in the open poll and posted a comment to it here Post 56. I also responded to your comments in Post 58. Did you find that helpful?

BLK 93 Feb 18, 2019 05:19 PM

I missed the 1st poll altogether, and got the impression I could vote in the second one, but that the thread suggestion portion was locked.
I tried posting, but a message confirmed the thread was closed. So I never checked for replies, my apologies.

I'm embarassed to say I never realised related thread + infinite scroll features were user cp options.
It's so much easier to scroll + save pages with those features disabled,

Cheers

Changing those settings is part of why I joined the site, but unfortunately new members seem to be blocked from editing their options? Maybe I'm missing something or maybe it's an unintentional side-effect of the restrictions placed on where new users are allowed to post. Very odd.
