Search Broken :(

If you try to search for this thread using the search feature you can never find it... can someone please explain how this doesn't work anymore? You search WideBody or anything else in that thread and it never appears in the search in the 1st gen section... LOTS of other threads are not appearing also... and it isn't the 250 limit change... I think that change broke the search function. I was right in the middle of a coilover suspension upgrade and all my links are now not searchable :(

Thanks!

I have been doing some searches and not finding specific threads. I notice that a lot of threads come up either as very recent or from 02/03. Somethings wierd.

Yeah, I cant find anything on 2GCDFIS, and yet it will find everything on DLIDFIS. What is the deal?

Bump... still broken... very depressing...

Can I offer assistance fixing it? How bout a copy of the database? So much information lost... this is tragic...

BOOSTD 7 04-19-07 12:24 PM

There's nothing lost, and no need for help ... but thanks. We're hoping to make the switch to a slave db server for full-text searching this weekend, so I haven't bothered taking the 12-18 hours needed to rebuild the search indexes. The full text searching doesn't use the vbulletin indexes like our current search does, so I didn't want to make the forum slow for a day just to fix something that'll be fixed in a couple days.

^^ i like that idea. do all the maintenance this weekend while ill be at DGRR without internet service. :bigok:

can someone help me understand what and how the search works now...???? I am confused... and frustrated

monkhommey 08-06-07 12:57 PM

i like how every one with over 2000 post screams "SEARCH" every time you ask a question. but the search function is relativly useless!
