Rx7club takes too long to load

I have to wait a few seconds for some "things" to load before the drop down menu for "My Recent Topics" will respond. The thing that seems to take the longest is "ads.rx7..."

Can this process be improved? Is there something I can do on my end? Has anyone used an ad block program to prevent the ads from loading? It's annoying that I have to wait for the page to fully load before I can use the drop down menus.

I'm using a Intel i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz with 6GB of memory. No 56k.

Thanks.

The OS is also important. I'm using Firefox's latest browser on MS Windows2000 Pro, PC has 2.4 Pentium II chip, 2 GB RAM and 18 MBps connection FTP U-verse "DSL" service.

Everything is lightning fast. The whole website is about due for an upgrade and a new service pack from IB is out there but I'm not exactly sure who green lights that download.

Just for grins and laughs, try the Mozilla. At first, I didn't like the format since I was used to the IE Netscape look. With this latest upgrade, I now def prefer the Mozilla FF package.

I'll say this before the upgrade happens: I like this current version because it's very fast on my old PC. Some other forums who used to use this version of IB have recently upgraded and it just takes forever to load stuff now. Sucks. I don't need icons for connectivity to facebook and other crap.

This forum = fast load times.
Other forums = slow load times.

Please delay the upgrade as long as possible. In other words, don't fix what ain't broke.

Good point so I'll do just that until someone from higher up just does it themselves.

check your local DNS settings, if you're not in CA they should not be google's open dns.
