multi quote doesnt work

i have been trying to use the mutli quote for a couple days it doesnt work. when i click it to try to choose quotes to be selected nothing happens. the symbol used to turn red/pink to show that response was selected, now it doesnt work. not a big deal, just letting you know about the issue.

multi quote

If this is the wrong section, feel free to move it. I didn't see anywhere that it would better fit.

I see that you guys have multi-quote installed, but I can't seem to make it function. When I click on the add post button, it doesn't do anything.

Am I crazy, or is it not working? I did a quick search, but didn't come up with anything.

Quick reply/Multi Quote

 I can't figure out why Quick Reply and Multi Quote don't work for me on this forum. I'm sure they work for everyone else since there aren't 1000 threads about it popping up, however when I go to any other vBulletin forum, they work fine for me. Is there a setting that I need to change maybe?

Please advise.

It doesn't work for me, either. I use the quote tags and copy/paste the comments into them.

edit: Quick Reply works for me. I meant the Multi Quote thingie doesn't work.

Does it work in one browser and not the other?

example IE vs. Firefox?

This is a vague issue so we need as much info as possible.

SLOASFK Nov 13, 2007 01:17 AM

It seems selective, in both browsers. For instance, in this thread, it magically lets me use quick reply, in other threads it won't. In Opera, some threads will allow me to use Quick Reply, and others won't. I'm not receiving Javascript errors in either browser. It's a very strange issue.

I get the same thing on the RX-8 club. However if I go to my local forum www.turboforum.net, I can use Quick Reply and Multi Quote on any thread in any browser without a problem.

That is odd... I know occasionally (about 1 in 20 times) nothing below the last post and the "Post Reply" button loads... a refresh usually fixes it.

SLOASFK Nov 13, 2007 01:25 AM

I donno..and what's stranger is I just tried to quick reply you and it didn't work. It is broken more often than functional, it seems...so I'll be refreshing hundreds of times to reply

DrKillJoY Nov 13, 2007 01:31 AM

That's jacked. I'll add it to the to-do list.

I will have to turn if over to the tech admin after some of the other request I have put through are completed.

SLOASFK Nov 13, 2007 01:35 AM

:icon_tup: thanks DKJ. So you have somewhere to start looking, this started happening right when Ryan performed his last "upgrade".

Funny his "upgrades" always broke more shit than they fixed...

That last one he did broke the search, quick reply and disabling the signature from each post.

I'm not certain, but I think IB will be handling all the major upgrades from here on out.

DrKillJoY Oct 24, 2008 11:30 PM

Anyone still having problems... it's been working for me for many months.
