New mobile version is quite upsetting to my poor mobile sensitivities...

I tried using this version a few weeks ago with utter dissaoointment...

What issues did the old mobile version have that it needed to be removed as an option completely...?

Issues as I see them...

Allow the opening of links in new tabs, instead of having to open each link... Tabs is a huge part of most users experience...

And why is it, that when clicking on new link it takes you to the first page every time? What happens to the link to jump to last post... This alone causes the whole first page of every thread needing to be loaded, but the pages buttons are at the fricking bottom of the whole page!!

Now if I or any other users want to use this forum, it will be driving up our data usage simply because it has no go to last post button, and not to mention wasting everyone's time, every instance they click on a multi page thread (how often does that happen)

In conclusion

This *new* mobile version night be a step in the right direction, but it has some (IMO) huge fundamentals what the f's that need to be dealt with.

PS, why does it have a toolbar at the top with a 'back' button? Every single browser and most phones other then apples have a hardware back button...

Agreed, I absolutely hate it due to the missing last post button, it is horrible loading the first page every time especially pic heavy build thread.

The old version was far better.

I will bring it up with ib tonight.

I've passed this on to IB, here's what they had to say:

Regarding the comment about opening new tabs, the user should be able to do so by long-pressing the link as he would on any other mobile site.

Please let me know if there's anything else you would like for us to address.

Thank you!

OP,

Are you not able to get to the old version? When I open the browser, it does load as the new version, but I scroll to the bottom until I see "view full site". I click on it and it opens in the older format.

According to IB an update should be out next week and it will have the "last post" button.

How do I remove, disable, or get rid of this God forsaken 'new' browser android app.? I don't want to dick with this thing at all--just want it gone now.

Thank you..
