Modifying your own threads and posts

It'd be really nice to be able to modify one's own posts and threads. In my current case I'd like to change a thread title to more accurately reflect current information.

Well that's good to know for future reference, but it still wouldn't have helped me in this instance and I still see how a change could be beneficial to users. I want to change a thread title to show a lower asking price for my car (I changed my mind a while after making the thread).

bump it with the new price..

Honestly, it would be a bad idea and give a chance for scammers to "clear-up" their name by changing up things within the thread to have terms/agreements suit their case.

If we lived in a perfect world, this would be great. Sadly, we don't..

^^^ exactly

It's all the bad things people could do with it that made me decide not to allow it.

Ok, I can understand completely now. It's frustrating though, aren't we supposed to include some basic info in the title of a FS thread?
