How long does it take to post a for sale thread?!

I attempted to sell a couple of things on Friday and now it's Sunday night and my thread still hasn't shown up. I get a box pop up for about 5 seconds about needing mods to check it first (at the end of posting) but I thought that would be like a day or day and a half turnaround.

Surely there's not this type of delay for every user? Maybe it's because I'm from New Zealand and we're a little un-trustworthy ;-)

Any others had this problem?

Because of all the potential for abuse in the For Sale sections, all threads of this type are moderated. As large and busy as this site is, sometimes it takes time to get to yours. I went ahead and validated them this time, but normally it's the forum moderators who take care of this, and usually only takes a few days.

And we like New Zealanders. :)

Wow, that's a lot of work to moderate everything!! No wonder this site is well run.

Thanks for that. That's probably why I often see double posts of for sale stuff. I wonder if it's worth mentioning that the pop up box that appears (on completing the post) should stay up for a bit longer so that the whole paragraph can be read?

We like Americans too so the feelings are mutual ;-)
