Where i can get bigger f/disc for my FC?
looking for just the disc, between 12" to 14"
any one know where? or can i modify from some other cars! |
check out the Forum here..there is a Bmw brake conversion using E-Series Rotors..Edit:..Found it Clem!.. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ight=big+brake

You could probably upgrade the front brakes on a FC to the FD (RZ model) that was JDM only.
They require you run 17" rims minimum. I'm sure they are a direct bolt on. As the front disc rotor on a FC and FD are the same, as well as the mounting points for the caliper. I doubt they would've updated the hub and upright from 1993 to 2002. |
thx Dave, do u have any links for 300ZX TT brakes?
|
NO! The rotors are different from the FC to the FD, ANY FD. THEY DON'T FIT! The offset is different, it's only the calipers that are the same.
While 300ZXTT brakes might work, it's extremely unlikely that it'll be an easy fit. At very least you'll need adapters for the calipers. |
Dave,
Do you know which yr of Bmw brake conversion E-Series Rotors? |
You could fit a rotor and fabricate a mount for the caliper. I have a Porsche Brake conversion in mind. Best Brakes for the best cars!

Clem..I believe that the Thread has the Info you are looking for.It does go into some detail..including using an Adapter shim to widen the FD calipers. You are just gonna Have to Read it,buddy!..(old guy can't do "everything for ya!..)Hey!..how did the MSD work instructions Work out for ya?..Styxer-riceroni-Beanie!

I think the one guy had it right about Mustang rotors. There are so many of them out there one has to fit without being machined.
|
the thread mentioned a Mercedes rotor.the Bolt pattern was correct, but you have to Make the Center Bore Bigger.(lathe).The FD calipers would require a Spacer to make them Wider to fit onto the Rotor.(so basically you split them in Half, and add a spacer and Seal them back up..not touching the pistons at all).
