us import
Anyone know the approx. cost to import a car from the states? Hoping to get an MR-S for my dad =)

check riv.ca An MRS might not be possible.
Unfortunately you can't import the MR-S into Canada.
If I was getting anything I would get the EVO, but its not allowed.
Where theres a will, theres a way.
If theres money..hahaha thanks for the input guys..Guess I'll have to break the news to my dad. But, you know what this means... When I turn 20 I'm buying myself a nice FD
can i ask why you cant? i know of a improted R32, Evo VIII, lotus elise,R33 (dealer plates), why cant u bring the mr-s?
Because the MR-S is a US car and was never made here...it doesn't meet our standards. And if you want to import the Japanese one, you'll have to wait until it's 15 years old.
it is a us car, you can bring it here but you have to take it and get it to go thru all the safety junk, replace the inner bumpers, its alot of work and alot of $ but its possible...
If its brought here and 'Abandoned', when you reinstate the title, you dont need an inspection. Or so I've heard.

Or you could design the bumper reinforcements, then crash test one, then put your bumper reinforcements on another car.
