Tuning FD in Toronto, suggestions
 

Hi, I live in North York, where are the experienced shops that tune RX7 FDs?

I checked in the top of this forum, there are only 2 in Toronto, Strretpower and RotaryDynamics, I am not familiar with them.

Since Im inexperienced with car tuning, I just want a reliable FD that's around 300hp, not to race it but to drive it often.
maybe just put on intake, downpipe, better shocks, brakes.. I guess the hard part would be tuning the ECU of the car?
So any suggestions on modding and tuning shops in Toronto would be great, thanks :nod:guys!

As far as I know I am the only active rotary tuner in Ontario. When I say tuning, that is tuning the computer and not modifying the car. However, I am more then happy to guide you in how to modify your car based on your goals and budget and is actually preferable to avoid problems down the road. And if you don't already have a trusted mechanic, I can suggest where to take your car. I do it as a hobby and not a business and intend to keep it that way unless one day I decide to become a proper mechanic and open a shop. This is something I've been toying with in my brain anyway.

Now what to do to your car depends a lot on your goals and your budget. Also, how mechanically inclined you are and how much if any you can do yourself. The first thing you would need is a tunable computer like the PowerFC as that is a plug and play computer for the FD. There are some things you can do on the stock computer and some people on this forum follow a 3 mod rule before going standalone but the sooner you get it the better. The PowerFC base map is safer then the stock ECU with mods even with higher boost. Although, even before all this you need to make sure you have done all the reliability mods first.

Where do these happen? I won't have time this weekend thanks to midterm exams but the occasional meet would be cool whenever I have time.:icon_tup: Convertibles accepted? I know they weigh almost as much an F-150 but they still have rotaries too!
