Sat. Night T.O. - Drop your plans...
Alright, my sources have come through. If you are a fan of The Gumball or The Players Run then tonight should be the night.
The BullRun is coming to Toronto. The 75+ exotic car cross-country race will be arriving in downtown Toronto this evening. From Mario Andretti to Boyd Coddington to Helena Christensen all kinds of celebs are participating (look for Mario in the Magnaflow sponsored Z06). They left Times Square at 8am this morning and Toronto (tentatively) is the first planned stop on the way to Los Angeles. The cars include Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Bentley, Porsche, Noble, Spyker, Pagani, and more. Last year Dennis Rodman did the race in a Gallardo, Hayden (Star Wars) in a Diablo, etc. The cars will be arriving between 8:30 and 9pm at the Century Room (Bar) located at 580 King St. West. I will update this thread as I receive information today. There is a slim chance that the Toronto stopover is a diversion, we'll see. http://www.bullrun.com/template.php?id=1 |
It's good to have an inside man for these type of things.... but I have to ask, if they're gonig to L.A., why would they trek all the way up here and then continue on their merry way????
Regardless, I"ll be checking the thread for later news! Keep us posted Jason!!! Lates, |

damn...it's my grandfather's 80th bday today or that would have been pretty cool
oh well |
Okay conflicting news here, on the BullRun site it marks their arrival as 3pm. According to the people at Century they said 8pm. I will find out shortly if in fact they have arrived, are on the way, or are not coming. Cheers.

Well, by the time we got down there, the first 4 cars were already parked in front of the hotel.
Some nice high priced vehicles (along with high priced ladies!! ;) ) It was just like a Gumball rally and people who managed to walk by the hotel were slowly gathering to admire the high priced vehicles. We didn't stick around long enough to see some celebrities (there were some people who were there trying to get a photo or 2 of their favorite celeb) Too bad I didn't have a digi cam with me... But I was with some of the Hardcore Elite squad so everything was good! :) I know pd_day was at the club they were going to attend later in the night... did you get any pics??? Thanks again for the tip Jason! You're the man with all the inside info! Lates, |
Insane... just got home, almost 4am. Was in the private party, lots of stories to share from the drivers, and I have a pic of every car etc. Will post everything tomorrow when I wake up.
Cheers, Jason |

The teams were all very friendly at the party, there were some highly expereinced and some rally virgins. New Jersey was a pain in the ass as the police set up a speed trap where the cars exited the Lincoln tunnel. NJ police stopped various cars any chance they had. NY state was a little easier, the Mosler was pulled over just so the police could have a quick look and the driver explained they were running behind... so the cop gave him a lights and siren escort at 130mph for the next 55 miles to the next county line. My kind of serve and protect. The EVO 8's were monsters, reputed to be two of the fastest cars of the day, passing some competitors over 190 mph. For sheer speed the record of the day went to the Euro entered ZO6 (who has run every Gumball) at 210+ mph... Hayden got a nice ticket in NJ then lost the motor in his 360 Modena 45 mins. later. There were two arrests, two strip searches at the border, and about 100 tickets on the day.
Paris was a no show, I understand she's in Spain but may make an appearance for the Vegas to LA stretch. Next rumored stretch - Detroit for lunch, Chicago for dinner. |
Yep, we got to see a number of Porsches pull in and a few Gallardo's as well!
The Spyder is fairly new but the one that caught my attention was the Gallardo SE with the bullhorns on the hood! lol The Spykers rolled in with the Murcieligo. The Lambo is freakin wide and long compared to the Spykers! We didn't see any celebs, just alot of arm candy! Takes alot of money to roll with the women that were coming out of those cars!! LOL :D I wish all the teams good luck! Lates, |
Corvette Power!!!!
