Hello,

Just testing the waters to see if there is interest in a rotary meet at Shanonville Saturday June 20th, 2015 .

There will be a track day , $ 160 for Fabi all day ( lunch provided to track participants by Brack automotive group ) .

For the rest, who prefer a show n Shine, we can meet there at 10am ish, park have lunch , then after track day Cruise to Kingston for an early dinner.


Is there interest ?

Any interest in joining up with the CTCC and other races going on May 31st? Long Track lapping, Time Attack and Racing for $190.00?

 

Not only would they get lapping and Time Attack for the $190, they get to put on a bit of a show in the Paddock as well as watching a bunch of races. Its already organized as well. If 5 RX7's come out for the day come out, I will switch after the second race and run the RX7 in the final race!

This sounds like a good idea, how packed is the parking lot ? , the idea is to also do a show n shine for those not interested in "lapping" , park cars through generations, some pics and shoot the words.

If it gets super packed with CtCC then it might be harder to do the show n shine ? .

But if not, it might be a great idea.

I have not tried Shannonville with the FD before, and if I drove all the way there (2 hours), I would most likely want to track at least a little. Is there any chance of going to the new DDT mosport track anytime soon? Would be tons of fun and the new paddock is MASSIVE lol

 

How does this format take place? How much lapping time is there.

My brother and I will be attending the Brack day. He will be in his MR2 (which he claims is superior to my Rx7 ) and me in my RX7. (I hope!)

 

The schedule is posted in the other thread. There is tons of paddock room. I expect enough to handle maybe 40 cars over and above the race teams. There is far more paddock space at Shannonville than at DDT. As well Shannonville has a skid pad and a separate paddock over at Fabi. More than enough room to handle every running RX7 in Ontario, lol.

Well then, I better get the seat fitted properly. It will be super fast at Shannonville on the slicks.

I'm interested! Not 100% sure I'll track that day but I'll come out for the day regardless.
I'll keep an eye on this thread to see where this goes.

Just so I understand, is everyone coming down on May 31st with the CTCC June 20th. I am talking about the 31st.

Remember there is the race RX8 that runs in the CTCC.

I dont know if they have an open lapping day then.

I am using the dates for Brack lapping , so we can piggy back. There is no way we can just get enough RX7s to pay for a full track day .

 

I believe we are talking about the Brack track day.

But nothing is committed yet.
