Re-drilling rims??

Anyone know anyone that re-drills rims? I got 4x114.3 rims, and I'm probably gonna have a 5x114.3 setup soon...and I really wanna use my BBS rims on my 7...lol.

that looked like a pretty sketchy drill setup.... also because it is a 4 bolt, you may not be able to drill into a 5 bolt that easily... some holes may be too close for comfort.... easier to just buy new wheels....

It's not going to be safe, because you'd be making a 4 bolt wheel 5 bolt, two holes will be way too close, so you wouldn't be able to get the proper lug seat made. Besides, most wheels have structural differences in the hub from where the lugs are to where they're not that'd make it impossible, even if you were taking a 5 bolt and drilling it to another 5 bolt setup. Sell your wheels and get new ones, that is the only way.

Yea, I came to that conclusion quite quickly, it'd structurally weaken it too much. If I wanna use 'em i'll have to do a 5-bolt to 4-bolt conversion...haha. Either way...i'll definitely find some use for them.

Hub adapters won't work?

Mazda RX-7 EFINI TYPE 03-15-10 08:31 PM

Where could I find a set of those?

Black91n/a 03-15-10 09:21 PM

Again, due to the 4 to 5 bolt difference, you won't be able to get adapters to work for you, besides, they add at least 1" or so, making wheels that'd otherwise fit stick out too far.

I didn't think so...lol, but thanks for clarifying. Thank you guys for your help :)
