Dyno Tuning/Runs in Ottawa

I'm going to book an appointment at Tapp Auto for just 3 dyno pulls w/ printouts. their website says $79+tax.
http://www.tappauto.com/page.cfm?id=6

i just want to get some dyno pulls (not tuning), my car is already more or less street tuned and i want to get a baseline before i put a Megasquirt in.

anyway, on their site it says group appointments can be made at discounted rates. is anyone interested? i want to do this within the next month or so if possible.
i just want to get a few pulls, but i know some of you turbo guys might benefit from some actual dyno tuning time.

It's a Mustang dyno, and they are equipped with wideband sensors if you don't have your own.

post if you are interested and maybe we can get a dyno day together (on a Saturday i think would be best).

yeah i guess nobody needs to run their car on a dyno, or no one has a car ready to dyno, heh.
i'll give them a call shortly and find out what the next available dyno times are.

by the way Dave how is the alpha-n tuning going on the Haltech? i've been trying to find people on Megasquirt running alpha-n on NA because there are some but no one has posted yet. speed density seems to be more popular though.

anyone else interested? i'm just getting 3 dyno pulls. i don't really need to tune, i will just datalog.
it would be good if someone else would come along, at least just to watch or something, haha.
too bad no one with massive power wants to go and represent the rotary. it will just be me with my stockport NA monster...ha.

Hey sorry i didnt reply before. the tuning is going/went really well. The car seems to be faster and does 100-150kms more per tank than with the wolf!!

Looks like I'm out. I work all day tuesday... wish I could come along but i gues it isnt meant to be (not the best time cash wise either). Let me know what happens I'm very interested.

Dave

read results here: https://www.rx7club.com/time-slips-dyno-128/my-89-na-dyno-665893/

Chris at Tapp auto was nice enough to give me a fourth run. dyno graph of the final, and best, run (ignore the two straight lines on the graph):

i replied in the other thread, you can see the AFRs there.
i ended up mid 13s, i was aiming for 13.0. it was way leaner than i expected, i guess the dyno and hot weather made for leaner running than what i usually see on the street. and i don't have an EGT sensor.
and it was 154 whp on the final run
torque is steady but pretty weak though.

it's interesting, you can really see the VDI change at about 5500 rpm in the graph above.

Good stuff aaron, you should have more power than stock T2s now!

Also that's pretty good power on a mustang dyno. Those mid 13 AFR are right about where you should be making peak power.

thanks nik.
hey you should get your car dynoed there. i would come along for sure to see what kind of numbers that monster is putting out!
plus you might even benefit from it. my first run was 141, and my last run was 154 just adding a bit more fuel.

the mid 13s i ended up with is probably fine, but i suspect it will be a little rich on the street/track since i can't generate the same constant load as the dyno.
