Princess Auto coming to Windsor

They have an ad in the Windsor Star today.

Yeah, it's about time.

Terrh 07-29-06 07:15 PM

yeah, I've heard rumors about this for a while - do they have an opening date yet?

I sure can't wait!

Dom 07-29-06 07:33 PM

I didn't check for an opening date. Not even sure there would be one on the ad since it was an employment ad and not a grand opening anouncement or anything like that.

Unfortunately the paper is in the recycle now and I am far too lazy to go check.

Dom 09-09-06 12:06 PM

I drove by today, it's on the corner of Lauzon Parkway and Forest Glade Drive.

There was no grand opening sign...

CompuBob 09-09-06 12:53 PM

yah I saw it a few weeks ago, cant wait!

Amur_ 09-09-06 05:35 PM

Soon you, too, will know the joy that seemingless limitless quantities of eastern-European assembled garbage can bring. ;)

Terrh 09-09-06 06:47 PM

I poured the walls and foundation, oh and the sidewalk too!

:P

it should be opening october 1st

all i have to say is get the electric impact gun, because that thing is THE shit!
but avoid the impact socket adapter because it is SHIT.
:)

oh, you can actually order crap from Princess Auto online. i have done it...how sad is that?

Aaron Cake 09-10-06 09:49 AM

I second the electric impact gun. Bought mine about 2 years ago and have not looked back. It's done everything I have asked of it, except removing the front hub nut on a very rusty 12A.

FWIW, Bosch sells a line of electric impact guns up to about 1600 FT-LBS or so.

I went there today, it was open.

Oh ya, I drove over your sidewalk too. Looks like they'll be needing you to go clean it off now, neener neener neener.

I went there last week when it was employee training day.. too many people ended up showing up so they had to close the doors.. I spent about 3 hours looking at everything in the surplus section. Amazing random stuff they have there.

Terrh 10-25-06 09:08 PM

yeah, I went there yesterday (24th?)

Pretty awesome place!

got a pair of jumper cables for $32.99 and then when I g0t to the counter they were 50% off, and they're AWESOME cables, especially for $16.48.

Dom 10-25-06 09:25 PM

So what's up with the two separate unconnected parking lots?

Is there something going right at the corner, maybe a Timmy?

Terrh 10-25-06 10:17 PM

oh man, that would be awesome.. I hope one goes there!

Actually, even a gas station there would be pretty handy

I'm at ROTAN all the time and it's irritating to have to drive INTO windsor to get tims/gas before I leave...

The parking lots are connected... just weird. I'm not sure what's up with that.

Princess Auto..Aka "the Man Store" !!!..I bought a "big ass flashlight" there. It was a Powerfist..thing had like 700,000 candle power. The Trigger Switch went on it,so I decided to see if they Would Honor their Guarantee.."No sales are final til you're Satisfied".I took it back and the Customer service Girl Said "ya, we may not have the same one but pick "something similar"..YEE-HAH!!!..I walked out with a Pumpkin Size 3 MILLION Candle Power "Nuclear Reactor" Flashlight!..Haha!!..(downside,I had to pay A $1.01 difference!!!..BooHoo!)..I like this store!..It's like Walking into a Gigantic Toolbox!

Dom 10-26-06 10:56 AM

Next time I'm under the car fixing something and it's too dark I'll call you for some help with lighting. Nice thing is, you won't have to leave the comfort of your couch, just point it my way and that'll do!

Terrh 10-27-06 12:30 PM

hahahaha, yeah probably

3 million candlepower eh!

how long does the battery last on that thing?

I got a crappy tire 1 million candlepower one last year and I didn't use it much, this fall I went camping and discovered that after charging it in my car for 5 hours the battery didn't even last 5 minutes!

Terrh 11-04-06 01:08 PM

so I bought a torque wrench, jumper cables, 2 GIANT tarps and a bunch of other random crap today... and I went in there to spend $4 on a handsfree cellphone thing.

misterstyx69 11-05-06 05:40 PM

Just browsing Through again...I really Don't know how Long the Battery Lasts on it!..I have only Charged it Once, and have used it like 5 times,(about 15 minutes total) and It is still "bright"...I shined it at My Ex girl friends Ear,and I saw a Beam shoot out the Other side!..LOL!..(notice I said "ex"?)
