OOP Inspection
 

Hi guys,

I just moved back to BC from AB and I was told that I need an OOP before I can insure my car. First off, it's a 2007 Acura TSX. I have my front windows tinted and know it's Illegal but is there anyone that will pass me? My skin is sensitive to UV and my meds say dont bake in the sun all day so the tint really helps. (lame excuse but it's legitimate... plus the car looks better tinted :P) I went and replaced the windshield yesterday due to fucking rock chips up the hoohoo from driving down deerfoot >:[
everything else is in working order except for a burnt out bulb on my tail light.

The other option is to use the clear UV tint on your front windows. I moved to B.C. from Ontario years ago, and got hassled over my window tint. I understand that it's a safety concern to put tint on the front windows because they can't break them out easily if you get in an accident, but if you're concerned about the UV, the clear stuff is a good option. It'll save your interior, lets in 90% of visible light, and doesn't show up all screwy if you look through it with polarized sunglasses. Just a thought.
Most places won't give you a pass on inspection with tint, because when you get pulled over by some RCMP officer, and he checks the date of your last inspection (since everything is centralized), it'll come back on the shop that signed off on it, and they can get fined / inspection license pulled.

I'll have to look into the clear UV tint. Looks like I'll have to go and get it taken off then :(

I would say find a local shop in your area and just be honest with the guy/gal also tell them, They might let you by if you claim that you put the tint on AFTER they inspected it.
