The 255 and 275 fit way better with the offset.

Nice....Car's looking good big guy. Any track days this summer? :)

Sizzlenut 04-25-09 03:21 PM

Thanks Jim.

I'm working on it, my friend. With all the plant closures, we're super-busy, working weekends. I'll find time, though.

Looking forward to doing some laps together, I'll PM you the if I go to Dunnville, maybe we can hook up at the Sunoco in Stoneycreek for coffee and fuel...:icon_tup:

Looks good man, what kind of an offset do those rims have? I just put 225's on my car all the way around and the fronts are REALLY tight to the struts. I may have to splurge on some new rims, or get some spacers.

Sizzlenut 04-26-09 09:22 AM

Fronts are 17x9 +26.
Front fenders are 20mm wider than stock.
The widest I could go with a stock fender and still feel comfortable with it was 235 with a 17x8 +35. With smaller diameter springs, though.

Looking good.

Looks good. So did you roll and dolly out the fronts? I've seen one like that locally, and it worked well to both fit the bigger rubber, and give the car a beefier look. Lot of patience and a bit of expertise working sheet metal, I suspect to do it well.

The SVT rims really work well too.

Sizzlenut 04-28-09 04:45 PM

They are fiberglass Shine ventless front fenders, actually. I like that people can't tell the difference from stock. I'm not sure there's enough metal on the stock fenders to widen while still looking stock. You'd have to add steel to extend the lip.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Tremclad doesn't look bad (haha)- from a distance.

Buggy 04-28-09 04:56 PM

Good from far, but far from good! That's how I roll. My entire car is like that. Long live Tremclad!

nice man! i've got pretty much the exact same setup except my fronts are +22 offset... looks about the same tho

And those wheels look awesome! That car has a V8 in it, right?

And where are you working that you are super busy due to plant closures (if you don't mind my asking)?!

Sizzlenut 05-02-09 09:56 AM

Thanks. Ya, it has an 8, but a little one, though.
Working at Magna plants in Aurora, Brampton and Guelph- moving plastic injection molding machines.

I've still got that diff you sold me sitting beside my house. :dunno:
That must have been over 2 years ago.
