I believe he means RPM Motorsports the shop here in Ontario. I don't think they are Joe. I could be wrong though.

JDK 02-22-10 03:22 PM

Last time I talked to Joe he said they were done....

DiscoQuinn 02-22-10 03:33 PM

Yup, RPM is done, but Joe is still doing stuff through Union Auto in Cambridge.

classicauto 02-22-10 03:50 PM

Exactly ... you probably got what you deserved. :egrin:

Joe and Dan have been Awesome in every way for a LOT of work on three cars for me . :icon_tup::icon_tup:

Joe is an outstanding rotary mechanic, I'll leave it at that, and I do hope the best for him.

Nope, made me broke by making me like RX7's if anything, but nice try.

Yup, and either way I've still had to help get a few cars running that were supposed to leave RPM running.

He was calling out Paul Bahn, with a race car he was building, that thing never saw the track...

They never completed a project for the shop that they set out to start, and would start a new one, Look at the RX8, the Wagon, the RX4, the Street Machine car might be the only one that was close.

orion84gsl 02-24-10 08:46 PM

Did you have to help them, or did you choose to help them?

There's a big difference. Keep in mind Joe wasn't the only employee at RPM and from the feedback I've seen on this forum, customers were happy with the engines Joe built.

I helped because the customer is a very good friend of mine, this is a community we help people out, I can't help what happened, happened, but it did. Joe was the one that was supposed to do the work on this car, and it ended up being towed out of there. I never said anything was wrong with the engine... The customer paid to have a running car, and it most definitely was not in running condition.

I know of a few others that have shared experiences like this, I think one situation has been fixed, but I'm not sure.

R.P.M. 02-24-10 10:40 PM

Debating weather to respond to this or not since its all in the past now....but,

Only 2 cars left my shop not running and both were carbureted. I'm 99% sure I warned both customers that I am not a carb expert.
Brian seemed to have done a ton of research of the Webber carb and knew it waaay better than I did. He did not seem upset nor did he try to contact me after his car left the shop. If Brian paid for a running car and did not get one back, he should have said something to me. He didn't though.

I'm not sure what your trying to get out of this personal attack on me....

Terrh 02-24-10 10:47 PM

I think everyone here needs to chill.

a small offhand remark just got blown out of proportion.

where are the mods here?

orion84gsl 02-25-10 08:13 PM

I don't think the mods need to interject on this. It's just a thread that got off topic, add it to the pile.

Anyway, Joe was just looking for contact info so I think the thread is finished.

doridori-rx7 02-27-10 08:55 PM

I think this is hilarious.. true colours showing through, karma wins again..:beerchug:

84stock 02-27-10 09:15 PM

Don't know Joe, nor many of the rest of you over there, my only comment is sorry to see another shop bite the dust. This community has diminshed sooo much since I entered 6 years ago.

An Rx7 meet and bbq 5 years ago brought 20+ cars. The next year a meet, BBQ and cruise to Black Diamond brought another 20 cars. The 2 meets last year combined brought much less than 20 in total. Sad :icon_no2:

Of the few friends with Rx7's in the past, one is divorced and owns a honda fit, another bought a honda prelude, the next went with a skyline, another is selling currently, another is into 4x4's now, another blew a seal and gave up, and a fellow GSLSE owner beat his into the ground.

The new Hyundai Genesis is looking pretty fine.......guess the next Rx7 meet will be at the local 7/11, all the parking we need there.
