Mazdaspeed Parts
Mazdaspeed Parts
Hi everyone, I posted this on the RX-8 club.com and will post it here, however it doesnt seem to have anything for RX-7 owners.
Mazda Canada has officially released its MAZDASPEED catalogue for the Canadian market.
Scarboro Mazda and Dave Wood Mazda are making this special offer to you. 25% off all MAZDASPEED parts purchased before November 30, 2005!
Contact info:
Scarboro Mazda Steve Smith 416-752-4310
Dave Wood Mazda Kevin or James 905-895-5747 or 416-798-7877
Unfortunately there are no RX-7 parts listed in the catalogue right now! But if there is anything you need just let either dealer know!

If you want the real mazdaspeed stuff used for racing go register at mazdaspeed motorsports. They sell parts at cost. no duties when shipped across boarder. Shipping fee is kinda high sometimes, so I only make large purchases at a time. Else you'll get dinged for 60 bucks for shipping on a 50 dollar part.

do you need some official race involvement to be eligible?
i have only been to auto-x once and i didn't get any official note saying i was participating...
You need to compete in at least 2 CASC sanctioned events a year and have results to prove it. While Mazdaspeed Motorsports has the best parts at amazing prices (I've never paid that much for shipping) a lot of the parts are not actual Mazdaspeed parts from Japan if that's what you're looking for.

Its easy to register and you do not need 2 events to become a member. You will not be allowed to buy most of the parts at a discount until you compete in 2 events in 1 year and provide MazdaComp with the info/ results.
The great thing about being in Canada, is that they have no idea of the sanctioning situation up here and you can send them 2 results from almost any event and they will accept you for the discount. I believe that Mazda would rather err on the letting more people in to the program, than make it more exclusionary.
By the way I have been a member since 1997 and have yet to buy much directly through them. I get a great price on Mazda OEM Parts through Scarboro Mazda and with a bit of searching I can usually find the race parts cheaper from the original manufacturer. Mazda Competition is a great source of information and they do have some stuff you just can't get anywhere else. Definitely join, it is about the best thing you can do when you are upgrading your car.

FYI, MAZDASPEED is the accessory parts and MAZDACOMP is the racing parts. I signed up with Mazdacomp last year and they wanted me to send the following,
picture of the car, copy of logbook, and 2 sets of results. They would not set me up unless I sent them that stuff :gay2:

For the OEM stuff I've looked up on Mazdamotorsports it didn't seem all that worthwhile once one factored in shipping, exchange and brokerage (and The Mazdamotorsports stuff I saw didn't look that inexpensive either) so 01Racing's offer of help is pretty cool.
