lookin for a good place to find a LHD third gen...help?

Alright guys, i live 45 minutes west of toronto. Now i'm looking for a third gen rx7 that is LHD, and i haven't had much luck. I'm willing to go RHD, but as a last option. Any input would be great.

go surf the car classifieds and find a nice USA car from Arizona or somewhere in the desert with no moisture. Then find someone who can't pay their mortgage and pick one up for 9000 USD with less than 50,000 original miles that is unmolested. There were several when I looked a couple of months back.

all you need to now about buying a car from USA can be found here: http://riv.ca/

Plane tickets are currently being discounted by Air Canada. Fly there, drive it back.

You can always have the owner bring it to a rotary shop locally and have the shop fax or email you a detailed review of the car. You will most likely need to pay for this, but what is 200 bucks on a 9000 dollar purchase? Just search the local forums for recommended shops that the majority seem to trust.

If you don't know much about RX-7's which you probably don't you should have a quick read here http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/buyaused.htm . This is a general guide for a near stock car, modified is a whole other ball of wax. You should probably take any 7's your interested in buying to a reputable rotary shop so they can inspect it properly. You don't want to buy an RX-7 and then find out a few months later that you need an engine rebuild.

Or even call up some shops. Sometimes they know customers that want to sell their cars for whatever reason and already know the condition of them so that makes things easier.

yah, i did read that right up. But that is a good idea about calling up some shops to see if they know abouts any 7's (thanks). The problem that i have is that i've gone to see a few, and there either falling apart (in almost everyway possible) or that their highly moddified and expensive. I went to a dealer once and he tried to tell me that it had a six cylinder....I just left, it was rusted out, fading paint, had a miss match of wheels and lots of interior pieces missing anyways (i could only guess what was going on under the hood). So my search continues.

This is how I find my cars in the US....and I guess they cover Canada now as well.

lycos.oodle.com

Lycos Classifieds searches every online classifieds publication, including auctions. You'll be blown away at the number of RX7s for sale at any given moment.
