KW/Cambridge area meet/cruise for spring meet

Hey guys. the spring meet is a week away, so for everyone in the KW, cambridge, guelph whatever area whats the plan? There was a little mention of a plan in the main thread for this meet (sherway gardens) but lets get our plans in bold here so everyone from the area can organize.

Buggy 05-10-09 07:37 PM

I'm happy with what was said before. Meet at the Outback for lunch. That's what I was planning on anyway.

HEVNSNT 05-10-09 08:25 PM

RotaryGreg. You're too fast, you beat me to it. Here are the details.

Sunday May 17
Sportsworld Dr. Kitchener
11:30am in front of what use to be Outback Steakhouse (There's a McD's there as well).

We'll do lunch in the area before heading out.

Righty 05-10-09 09:39 PM

phew.... Thought it was on a Saturday. I'll be there, But not in the rex. You guys will have to drive slow ;D

real1st 05-11-09 12:51 AM

Why doesn't everyone just meet at sherway? Outbacks are closed province wide.

See you at Sherway.

I second the driving slow part. My Fc is a bit of a hurting unit from the beating I gave it at Mosport on Sunday.

you're opinion doesnt count because you arent invited! lol. Im just kidding. but this thread is for the people in the specified area or that will be passing through said area on their way to the sherway meet to meet up first and cruise out together. its a boring drive, having a bunch of stinky ass rotary cars traveling together is entertaining because of all the looks and pointing you get along the way. haha.

as for outback being closed, i said that from day one!!!!! so it looks like mcdonalds will have to do. haha.

so those attending so far are:

2.HEVNSNT
3.Buggy

BTW buggy, you were able to thrash the car that hard? I was at the very back of the RX8 pack and left alot of room, actually went down the back straight at like 60km/h so i could take the turns as fast as i want but i was really holding back anyways. that track is intimidating and you feel so small. also, with all those elevation changes, you cant see what turns are coming up and my memory sucks! haha.

Buggy 05-11-09 02:09 PM

I was only a few cars back from the front of group two. I hit 130+ on the front straight going into turn one. I was doing 140 on the back straight for sure. It took a thrashing. I think it's a problem with the speedo cable though. I'm actually not too worried.

ah, i never really looked at my speedo while i was out. I got near the end of 3rd on the front straight so that should be around 130ish (the car beeps at 140 in 3rd) and on the back straight i was sleeping pretty much. I really really liked that turn 5 section though. the third time through i got the nards up to heel toe back into first and the car stepped out on me when i got back on the gas. haha. what a blast.

Ya, sorry. I only picked Outback because I think the building still exists, lots of parking, and it's the easiest to spot getting off the highway. And it's traditional LOL.

There's lots of places to eat around there.

are you guys in rain or shine?

Nova7 05-12-09 08:20 PM

I'll meet up with you guys. I'll probably skip lunch though and show up about before your plan to head out. 12:00 good?

Buggy 05-12-09 09:27 PM

I'm in not matter what. As it says in my signature, the FC is my daily driver. It sees everything mother nature can throw at it.

HEVNSNT 05-17-09 07:47 AM

I may be late (contractor needs to finish job at my house). I think I'll be okay but please don't wait for me.

Black13B 05-17-09 10:17 AM

Trooper 05-25-09 01:01 AM

rotarygreg 05-26-09 06:16 AM

trooper, i dont know if these guys gather for small meets but i doubt it. basically this meet was just to drive down to the sherway gardens meet as a group.

Buggy 05-26-09 09:10 AM

Keep your eyes peeled on the forum, there should be a thread started soon about our Bruce County meet/cruise we do in the summer. It's a great time and it's only about an hour and a half drive from the KW/ Guelph area.

Trooper 05-26-09 11:02 AM
