The owner is crazy alright. They're dreaming on that price, even if the kms are authentic. I'm assuming the fact the ad has had nearly 12,000 visits in one day means this has gotten a lot of attention on social media - and presumably not because a lot of people are lining up to pay nearly $12,000 for an '86 GXL.

I emailed him and he said the Kms are "legit" and he said he should actually be selling it for more since they are rare and in this condition. I chuckled to say the least. I told him I want to see documents verifying everything be claims. No reply yet.

I'm guessing my extremely minty '91 Sport (156k km, never winter driven) *might* fetch $5000 if I waited around a bit for the right buyer, mostly on the basis of a very clean chassis. That's only because clean examples of these cars have started to appreciate - a couple or three years ago, I would have guessed $2500. And I might be fantasizing on the $5G.

That car has been for sale on kijiji for a long time now he just keeps renewing the ad. That's why it has so many hits. There's been a few fc's on kijiji recently where the owners have been dreaming. Asking 10k plus for convertibles and such. It comes down to its worth what someone is willing to pay.

Exactly. I saw those verts as well and now I'm seeing them come down in price to the low 4s. I was looking at buying a project again and I found a white 89 vert with 150k. He originally wanted 1500 but I got him down to 600. It doesn't run but I'm waiting to get it back home because I think a seal is stuck/low compression. It has a new top, new tires, new brakes. It needs a coat of paint since its peeling and needs a good vacuuming.

All in all not bad for 600 bucks.

If that car was turbo and had 50k It wouldn't be worth near that.

I want the front spoiler off of that car. Its exactly what I am looking for. Anyone know the brand or manufacturer?

couple things..According to this guy,My car should be worth 40k..
and I hope insurance guys don't see this or we'll all have to get new appraisals!

Or, perhaps that was a 19,000 peso assessment.
