FD and LSx swap cars in GTA

I'm just wondering who in the GTA has done the swap and hasn't put their car away for the winter yet?

I'm just interested in taking a look and if you're willing, to take me for a quick ride. I'm considering the swap but haven't seen a swapped car first hand.

I'm just wondering how the swap went and if everything is still positive after the swap. Curious also why you did the swap and what setup you had before. Also, do you track your car, drag race, etc.

I did the swap because I needed a change and I haven't looked back since. It's been about 5 years since I completed the swap and I have zero regrets, only thing I have to change and its based on personal opinion is my exhaust...little bit to loud for me.
Before I did the swap I had a mild street port 13b with a Haltech E6K and a GT42R, lots of fun but the lack of reliability just wasn't acceptable. Love Rotaries, but they are not for me.
I do track my car, drag and road course but not often enough due to my lazyness. If you want to go for a spin, I can take you out but insurance runs out on the 31st of this month...so you better hurry....lol

I`ve had an LS6 FC for probably 5 years now as well. I track casually road course and went to the drag strip twice. No regrets. It`s been in storage all summer. Fresh daughter put an abrupt halt to extracurricular activities. You really want to take Paul up on his offer BTW. I think we`re all impressed with his FD, LSX or not.

I couldn't hook up with Paul but I'll try and take him up on his offer next year. Regardless, I'm pretty sure I've made up my mind. I really like the rotary but I think I just need some change.

You'll know when I've really committed when you see some rotary stuff up for sale.

There's a guy in Georgetown that has done 7 or 8 FC V8 swaps. He works out of a bay in the back of RJ's Muffler Shop on Main Street.

The past summer was the first for me and my LS1/FC - great fun and really not crazy expensive, I did all the work including wiring and exhaust.

It's a car I brought to the track, and daily drove (pulling 30mpg) on the highway. There are faster rotaries around town - but I can't imagine a fast turbo rotary being as drivable as my FC.

Like others have offered - I'd be happy to help with any questions. If you havent looked, look here
