We are going up Sunday morning to run in GTB. Hopefully it wont self destruct, it didnt last time so we are hoping for 2 out of 2. We made some big adjustments to the sway bars, so hopefully it will be for the better!

Wasn't the best weekend for Rotax out there.

We had such major oil-blowby that our 2-crankcase vent catchcans where filling up within 15 minutes, and then overflowing and leaking onto the front tyres. We didn't race on Sunday, instead we pulled the engine right in the pits and sent it off to Mazdees.

Cansaf had some engine problems (#1 rotor, I believe) and busted their diff. But they worked till late at night and raced well on Sunday.

The Viera FC had some issues during the race on Sunday as well.

Mazdee's finished 5th, I think.

Well we went from our best Sunday 2 weeks ago to one of our worst yesterday! Started in morning warmup, I realized that my tach and oil temp gauge wasent working (tach froze at 5500rpm) and it was drizzling. On the 3rd lap I came out of 9 and the car slid sideways toward wall----no problem---a little counter steering and...............instant hydroplane, around we go, at least I remember what I teach when instructing..."when in a spin both feet in!" and lock them up and didnt anything. We find a wire had rubbed through behind the dash. Race one we start from the back and its like 401 rush hour, people dipping and diving hitting each other etc. No problem we pass about 10 cars the 1st lap and 7 more during the 2nd lap. Coming out of turn 10, the car quits completely no electrical power at all.nothing. Get to watch the race from in the car parked along the pit wall...how exciting! Get a tow back to the pits (that was exciting) and find that one of my oil cooler fans had seized solid and shorted out the main fuse. So far we have run total of 4 1/2 laps in 30 minutes of racing. Race 2 starts same as race one passing people everywhere, great in car footage of 2 guys crashing in turn 2. Someone runs off inside turn 8 and gets dirt and grass everywhere, then the same in 3. Then a CASCAR blows its engine and oils up from the entry to turn 8 all the way to turn 9. The marshalls were great but we had to run way wide offline through 8 which got mounds of tire boogers all over the hot tires. They checkered flag the race early. Should have stayed in bed!
