British Columbia Rotary Roll Call!

Hey Fellow Rotor heads.

I moved from Alberta, to Vancouver, and need to find some fellow gear heads in beautiful BC.

Alberta was healthy with RX7's, and ive seen a few around here, some nice 1st gens, a couple 2nd gens, and one red 3rd gen.

Post up, and we can eventually arrange a cruise sometimes maybe.

Cheers,

mark

Perhaps, but any attempts to organize a meet over the past 5 years have failed here.

If you want a good winter rush, check out the indoor karting in Richmond. An hour there and you'll drive the rx7 like an old lady for a bit.

rx7lover42 11-19-11 01:57 PM

You guys should consider the Poker Run in August on the island..., would love to have some rotary's attend. With it being a weekend thing it makes it worth the trip.

Read up on it, all the info is in the link. basically it is a rally where you have 7 checkpoints between victoria and mt washington. At each checkpoint there is some sort of an event happening. You get one playing card. We end up at Mt Washington for a wonderful sit down buffet dinner. We have raffle items for the evening and freebies for the participants. The car that can make the best poker hand out of thier 7 cards wins the cash (top three hands).

We then have the chalet for the evening. We meet up the next morning and cruise more or head back to our respective cities.

All proceeds go to Camp Shawnigan helping to send disabled children to summer camp.

It would be sick if you guy made a trip down here for a gettogether. Ill get the guys around here and as many as i can get from vernon and kamloops and penticton and take over the streets of kelowna lol.

TurboMazdaSpeed 06-20-12 07:03 PM

theres a few bridgeports and ppl are pretty poor on bcrotary, it would prob cost me 800 in gas to drive to kelowna with a full bridgey lol too bad u dont live down in the lower mainland

Drift89fc 06-20-12 11:32 PM

Jrexx6 06-21-12 03:04 PM

I have an FD and live in Vancouver

VANCITY88VERT 06-22-12 01:23 AM

I'm in Van and have an FC... Into a meet some time... Might even be tempted into the Vancouver island poker run

DDonovan 06-22-12 12:27 PM

Love to have you. The more people that attend the more money for the charity and the happier the sponsors are. If you take a look at the registration we have a few coming over from the Mainland. To show how much fun the event is, almost 1/4 of the registrants attended either last year or the past two years.
