Zeitronix ZT-3 Hacker Display Install in "Sleeper" Turbo II

Well since I decided to go with the Rtek 2.1 on my Turbo II, I figured the Zeitronix Hacker display would be the best fit wide band O2 sensor option to go with. My goal for the car is to have any aftermarket gauges/tech mostly unnoticeable except for some avid enthusiasts or people that know what they are looking for/at.
Since I did a bunch of searches on the forum and found nothing that really interested me with gauge installs, ie hacking up the stock cluster or having an a-pillar gauge pod. There is nothing wrong with them, just not the direction I'm looking at going for this build.
So, I had an idea, since the clock already has problems with cold solder joints and works intermittently, why not get rid of it?
So I bought this:
Zeitronix Hacker/Tweaker Display : Mini-AFR Display

Dis-assembly of the idiot lights is pretty self explanatory.
1) Pop the cluster surround out and unscrew the 2 screws holding it in. Also unplug the connector from the back.

2)There are 3 screws on the back that hold it together. It may be a little tough to separate, however it does come apart.

3) Unfold the clock circuit board and de-solder it. If you follow the traces, it appears that the power sources are completely unaffected/separate from the clock removal for the idiot lights. I verified a couple months ago, but I have yet to place in the car and verify.

4) After the clock removal, I honestly just mocked it up and hot glued it in .
I wanted to mount it directly on the backing plate you can see in the pictures below, however I noticed that I couldn't see some of the numbers being displayed. Therefore I decided to mount it set back a bit on the circuit board. Hope you enjoy:

Hopefully it looks just as good in the car.

Thanks for looking.

I like. So just wire the system up to a any Bosch O2 sensor. Does it have a 0-5v output to hook to my Rtek?

Looks that way yeah. If you buy the $199 version you end up getting one with the kit you just ordered.
It also comes with the power harness that has a 0-5V output and the website informs you how to wire it into the ECU to give it the 0-1V needed to trick the computer into thinking it sees a narrow band voltage again.

I researched for a while, and it seems that the Rtek Pocketlogger guys have been working with the Zeitronix to ensure the proper functionality. Again, that's all in theory as its been too damn cold to go and work on the car to get it going again.

Less is better

I, as well want the more stock look. Trying to keep my BaseT looking NA. Want to mess with all the WRX around here.

Just to update since I can't edit, this is what you are removing.

That looks sharp, great job. I just recently finished a similar project with a aem wideband in the same area.

Wow. Looks awesome. I may do this when my turboii motor gets put in my GXL
