Hi 7club. Trying to find out where this plug like sensor goes on my s5 na. Any info would be great. I found it near my a/c and power steering unit and now im lost.

Above your front trailing plug. It's the knock sensor.

I don't think S5 NAs have knock sensors.
Neither of mine did/do.

It does look like a knock sensor though, but I don't think it goes with his engine (unless it's been swapped).

I did swap 2 a 90 na from a 89 i was worried that was the reason why my coolant buzzer was going off

Sorry never dealt with an na fc. We don't get em here. But the location he found it hanging out in and look of it do suggest knock sensor lol.

If that's a knock sensor (and I believe it is), it has nothing to do with the coolant warning.

There's a sensor on top of your radiator, single wire connector.
If that is not connected the warning will sound.
Either connect to sensor or just ground the brown wire, either should silence the warning.

Yeah that wire you're looking for is a single solid brown wire.it'll be hanging out by the right hand rail somewhere.

Okay I have found the other side of the brown wire yet until then I'll ground it to the body of the car and that should make the buzzer stop right? If not where is a good grounding point? And do you have any pictures of the brown wire from car side it would be very appreciated.

Just connect the wire to anywhere on the body,as the whole car is a ground.
That should stop the buzzer.
BUT make sure that you are aware now that you have no way of telling if your coolant is low until you get another sensor and connect it.

that plug is for your Air Intake temperature sensor.

fiskblk1127 07-06-13 05:31 AM

Can that mess up my air fuel mixture and cause my car to die?
