Unstealable FC. Worth it or annyoying?
Okay so my FC now has a few security measures. I'm asking if you think it's been worth it or annoying and pointless. And tips to patch holes in my security
Pretend your a car jacker trying to steal my demonic security FC 1. one different locking lug nut on each rim 2. Power locks (factory) 3. 150 meter paging system pages me any time the door is opened or the car is disturbed- at that point I would run out and the jacker would catch a 12gauge beanbag round or two in the face; but say I slept through the door open pager 4- Nardi quick detach steering wheel that's taken in every night 5. hidden fuel pump kill switch that also kills IGN 6. GPS transponder hidden in the car running on its own security system battery and my laptop receives it's location anywhere in the world |
Just do what I do....
http://cdn.weinterrupt.com/wp-conten..._garage_01.jpg But seriously those things are all still detourents, nothings stopping anyone from driving a tow truck up behind it and towing it away in 3 min. |
Nothing beats a tow truck man. You can't win.
|
are u serious? do u live in a high crime area or something? and who the hell wants to steal a car thats 20 years old? unless you have a ton of mods done to it....even then.....oh and btw those locking lug nuts can be removed easily with the right tool and if someone was experienced stealing rims they would probably have that tool.

I park behind my condo on a hill in sort of an alley only acceptable to small cars. And if someone towed it away I would have it back the moment I noticed it was missing from it's spot with my home made Low-Jack and either call the cops with the location or go over and take care if it.
1 Same principle as concealed carry- better to have it and not need it than to be Fkd also I wanted to have fun and play with modern electronics in a old car. 2 Rx7's and honda EG hatches get targeted in my area and Seattle more than most other cars 3- That Porsche is the best thing i've ever seen |
unfotunately FCs are the EASIEST cars to get into of any i have worked on.
just last week i left the keys in a customer car with auto locking doors and closed it up while it was running. took no more than 15 seconds to grab my slim jim and pop the door open, glue the window door seals in and it's a little more difficult but then you have window seals that you can't remove... alternately make a shield to cover the lock rods, if you pop out the window seal you can see them sitting right in your face. |
I don't think 7's really get stolen in Houston.
Here they steal like 3 hondas a night, also diesel trucks. |
I had one key that worked in 4 rx-7s.
|
I heard about the worn key problem. Someone in my area recently said someone stake out his car and used a worn key to open the door and drive away. I don't have a key ignition, I have push button start with switch panels for acc and IGN with a hidden fuel cut swich; harder to steal than keyed ignition.
Thanks Evo, I'll put in shields. |

1. one different locking lug nut on each rim what they usually do is, they will break all the locks and remove all nuts first, then just get some floor jack and jack it up, couple of bricks slip it under, now all 4 wheels are free and ready to go, whole process took less than 5 mins. You better rely on your Alarm's Shock sensor (set it to Ultra sensitive) than relying on wheel locks to protect your wheels. cuz most cars these days don't have shock sensor. and he said thieves usually run if the alarm goes off. cuz even though people dont' give a shit to these alarm sound, but they will be "curious" and look anyway, not cool. 2. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? |
Put vaseline all over the door handles and install a penis shift knob. :D
|
A tow truck/flatbed/whatever is the real killer. Fortunately in a crowded area, there are usually people around and the cars are always parallel parked; harder for a truck to grab. But... like anyone in life, some people are amateurs and some people are professionals. The professional will get it no matter what, the amateur will fail miserably.
