FC S4 - Comprehensive (re)build

Hello everyone.

I decided to create this thread to document my journey with my Mazda RX7. It's an 87 FC S4 turbo 2.
A bit of context: I've always been curious about Wankel engines, never seen one before but I was keen to search and learn if I would get a chance to own one, which in Portugal is quite difficult due to the lack of support to get parts and their rarity.

I bought this car last year, in February, as a running car but with some small things to fix (at least that was what the previous owner said to me first).
I got there and the car didn't run, the guy took the engine starter off and said the car on the previous day started leaking petrol and we couldn't start the car. I made my visual inspection but from the moment I saw the car for the first time and sat on it my mind was already decided.

Apart from the paint job, the car overall looked good I think, a bit of work is needed (expected) but manageable.

The interior is red, it was stored for a long time and the "mold" started to appear, but still easy to clean, again, in my opinion pretty OK, as far as I understood.

The "running engine", obviously a massive coolant (aka water) leak, ran for too long and somehow someone tried to fix it with silicone and expected to be successful.
Another thing that from the angle some of you more experienced can notice (I couldn't at first, again, my first time seeing an FC) is the clutch master cylinder, they "adapted" one from a honda, leaking from everywhere, and the result was not good.
Apart from that 2 major things, everything was "normal".

My PLAN with this build is to bring this car back to the road in a rational and affordable way. Personally I want to enjoy all the journey. The main objective is being able to enjoy and drive the car through out the year and the different stages of the rebuild. I want to be able to use it in the first place. Doing things with time, head in place, planning - executing.

I don't have any interest in have it on my garage for 5+ years while doing the "perfect" build with xxxx HP and not driving it once, or once a year, I respect the ones who do it of course.

And I think that's enough for this first post. I will try to go back to document my progress from the beginning.

Any thoughts/ideas are welcome of course

Thanks everyone.
