My 86 GXL Neverending fun!

Figured out it was about time i make a build thread for this one! Got the car a year and a half ago. Long story short, transmission crapped on me the first week, lost 1-2 (made a post about it if some of you remembers).

Replaced the transmission, everything seemed to go well, but always had some overheating trouble. Found out that i had a bad cracked iron. Found a used engine for next to nothing, from a local guy saying it was working well. Super happy, i removed the engine and installed this one. Well, guess what... Bad iron too... Since i just put the engine in i figured i'd tuff it out for the time being. Was able to run it like this for maybe 2 months before it really gave on me, next to my place, with a really big cloud of smoke from burning coolant. Found another guy with a used engine, told me it was running when he removed it. Installed this one and, because i'm that kind of lucky guy, engine was bad from the start.

At this point, i decided it was time to just dismount my 3 engines and just rebuild one. I traded the internals of one engine to a fellow RX Quebec member and friend for a rebuild kit, and i traded some FB stuff to another member and friend for some 2 pieces Apex seals.

I'm missing a bunch of pictures of when i got the car, but basicly, i had to fix winow switch, replace the sunroof rack, had to redo the direction, ex owner had some ebay spacer on the car, i had to redo the whole alignment, everything was off front to back, lots of work involved. I'll try to find pictures later on.

I like your FTP lenses :)

I did something similar with LEDs because I wanted to add daytime running lights but not waste so much power by running the headlights constantly in the down position.
