Here from Iowa. Been mainly doing EVO build's and I do a lot of GM tuning and imports. Being that i've been tuning GM's for 8 years you'd think I'd put a LS engine in the FC but i refuse to. I've always liked how the rotary works and really want to dive deep into the platform. So I picked up a 1990 GXL that looks like crap but It was already turbo swapped some a rebuilt engine (no idea on condition but cold start/hot start everything is perfect) Has a blown out turbo so will be putting on a cheap one for now mainly to get it up and running and figure out the tuning aspect. I'm used to 2k plus turbo's for my evo's and have never gone with a dirt cheap turbo untill now. Kind of feel bad but is what it is. So the FC has....

Engine: S4 Turbo irons with street port, S5 housings, S5 N/A 9.7:1 rotors, Atkins 2mm apex seals, FD corner seals and springs. Omp removed.
Turbo: Ht 18s hot side and center section. Garret T04 cold side compressor and housing. (that is blown out and getting a 76mm)
Injectors: Primaries are 650cc, secondaries are 960cc.
Intercooler: Greddy.
Exhaust: HKS Hi Power
No cat, custom down pipe. (that is junk)
Suspension: Kyb Agx struts appx 5 years old and Tien S tech springs. (blown out)
Poly bushings in front and Mazda trix rear camber adjustment rod.
Brakes: stock 4pot front and stock rear.
ECU: Megasquirt 1v2.2
LSD: S4 turbo trans and Lsd

Will be going e85 so will put the 960's as the primary's and get some 1600's for the secondaries.

Exhaust will be remade and will get it painted and clean a lot up in the engine bay because it looks like junk. Should be a fun project and see how fast it'll break. Will update as I go

Need's paint and the molding put back on and different wheels/tires right away.

For the price I paid i feel like i got a good deal.

Well that's a nice lil find to dive into . Are you keeping the ms ? Those rotors Will make some power for sure . I've got a 6 port running the 9:4 rotors and a holset hx52 I got for $250 . So you could find a hx35 or 40 for a decent price . Rebuild kits are like $50 on flea bay . Cool to see another shop joining the Dorito club .

I got a on3 76mm brand new for 200 from a local guy. What all the LS people run for some reason ha. It'll be lazy but will work for now. I have a borg s362 at the shop i'm trying to get off the customer to rebuild that might be a little more fitting for it. I Just want to get it on the dyno and mess around with it for now.

Any opinions on if I should run this on3 76mm or rebuild a borg warner s362 I have laying around

I would rebuild the BW. On3's typically have a VERY small turbine paired with a very large compressor. What you end up with is a turbo that has a large laggy compressor that it can't use because the turbine is the choke point. Borg Warners typically have a generous turbine for a nice flowing compressor.

Also, you're using an ancient version of megasquirt that is no longer actively supported. Switching to MS2 or especially MS3X would be a huge improvement.

The megasquirt is what came with the car. I'll be switching over once get everything on the car done. at the fab shop now getting manifold made
