First build and going all out

Hey y'all. Just got my hands on a super clean 1986 FC hatchback for a hell of a deal. Didn't think too much of it when I got it for $400, and now I know why; no engine or transmission. First time I ever bought a car on a whim from a guy, and probably the last. I was looking at buying original rotary parts when I found that I could just go with a 1JZ GTE VVTI instead by the recommendations of one of my Army buddies. Same guy owed me a favor, who coincidentally wrecked his 350z and wasn't going to fix it, I got his CD009 with 60k miles for $100 and a case of beer. So now that I am looking at doing the 1J install and running the CD009, I have found a couple issues limiting me. I cant seem to find a driveshaft that'll fit the FC and the CD even though I've been seeing the builds online, as well as struggling to find a cross member. This is going to be one hell of project going from knowing nothing about cars, being a computer guy only, and needing a new hobby now that I'm medically retired. Any advice is appreciated as well.

So goals for the build are as follows:
  • Purchase a 1J-CD00X kit and install
  • Install 1JZ and CD009 and have functioning
  • Delete power steering and go with a small electric pump and mount by firewall out of the way (wired to switch panel in dash)
  • Install standalone harness and replace ECU
  • Install super charger to go along with the turbo and go twin charged
  • Replace braking system with newer
  • Paint/wrap
  • Keep street legal while making it something fun to hit the track with.

Eventually I'll upload photos, but for now I have to find the parts I need just to get it running.
