CX Racing?

Hi all,
I own a 88 TII and am building it to be my weekend drift warrior.
FMI is an obvious after market part that i need to keep my 13B cool, but haven't been able to find a kit for a reasonable price, until a few nights ago i stumbled on this:
cxracing.com: Front Mount Intercooler Kit For 86-91 Mazda RX7 RX-7 FC FC3S

I am very well versed in after market companies, and never heard of CX Racing. Does anyone else know anything about this company and their products? You can't beat the price so if i get good feed back ill go ahead with the purchase, if not the ill keep looking.

Thanks for the help,
Marco

you cant say 'very well versed in aftermarket companies' and 'ive never heard of cx racing' in the same sentence. cx racing and rotary works do a lot together and are known to be more budget minded companies.

as for the issue of fmic, you would be better off with a big radiator and proper ducting before putting a giant wall in front of it. furthermore, if youre looking in to drifting, id highly suggest a vmic setup with proper ducting over fmic.

Marco, you should go to the Lounge. Lots of people there know about CX.

He speaks the truth. The lounge is a bastion of rotary information. You get knowledge from the entire community instead of just one segment.

I have that kit. You guys are correct, it's a "budget" kit. BUT as far as fitment goes, its not all that bad. I little modification... one 3" hole cut out in front of the passenger side wheel well, a bit of patience, and your in business. For the price, I was pretty happy with it.

^granted, I also paid $300 for mine when they went on sale. For what it's worth.

I bought my FMIC and piping all from CX racing. IMO, an intercooler is an intercooler. As long as it doesn't fall apart, you should, and can spend $200 instead of $600 for a fancy name brand.

Thank you for all the info guys!
