i see the sarcasm in the mentioned 'wreck' wasnt detected.

Dltreezan 03-29-10 09:12 AM

the car was never wrecked. Just a smart ass attempt by me to get Juiceh to post pics.

Gotcha on the QDC clamps. I've heard very good things on those as well; seem to have similar "take up" abilities for engine movement to the Wiggins stuff also. I'm going to claim the awesome photo quality as why I mistook them. ;)

I'm curious how the hard coat turns out; I'd not thought of that for that use, but it makes sense.

KusImmak7 03-29-10 10:26 AM

I think im in love, with this baby of yours.

R.O.D 03-29-10 02:36 PM

ok gotcha, ya i guess i didnt read into the sarcasm

Hmm, what is going to compensate for enginge movement? Looks sweet tho:)

The QDC setup is flexible. Engine movement is a not a big issue.

I'm also using Banzai motor mounts.

yo man, is thing not done yet? i figured by the time i got out of basic id see some results, ha. doin good man, keep up the good work

Juiceh 04-09-10 10:56 PM

^ok... but did you miss the part about the changes that are being made?

20B10AE 04-10-10 07:30 AM

I really like your IC setup! Mine is similar. I think I might borrow your idea about a single pipe for the radiator hose. I currently have a flex hose as a temporary setup but solid line with a coupler @ each end would be much better.

Keep it up!

I think you misread, the whole radiator hose isn't being replaced with a single pipe. Just the coolant neck. The coolant neck was 3 pieces welded together with the radiator cap welded on. The angle was a little off with the radiator cap and Sean wasn't happy with the way it turned out. So, its being redone with a nice single curved piece instead of the 3 straight pieces cut & welded and the radiator cap will be re-added with the correct angle. In the future I might change some of the soft hose with something similar to the connections my IC setup uses. But I don't feel like dicking around ordering more clamps. I just want to get her back on the road.

Been following this build for a while now, can't believe it is over 2+ years in the making. Keep the updates coming!!!

Rotorious7 06-17-10 04:17 PM

What exhaust setup on the bad boy>

Juiceh 06-18-10 11:19 AM

Things are moving.. No updated pics to post though. Were trying to get it done for a show in the coming weeks.

Exhaust is an RB turbo back mated to the A-spec downpipe. I've been trying to convince Sean to make me a 4 inch to dual 3 inch exhaust. But, he's being gay. :(
