I have a 85 GSL 12A NIKKI card. This is on my old card, but no place for it on the rebuilt carb. What is it and is it necessary? Thanks for any help! Mike

Can you take a picture of were that bolted to on the old carb? If I'm not mistaken, that bolts to the passenger side front of the carb. You could also look in the carb section of the Factory Service Manual. I posted a link below.

looks like one of the vacuum solenoids from the rats nest

Different generation of 12A's had different emissions requirements. Your rebuild carb may be from a different model year. California cars may be different yet again.

I think this diagram is for an '85 12A .. so it might help.
